This was the best movie in the "Alien" series, right after Alien itself. Parts 2 and 3 will answer the questions some of you are too impatient to wait for or figure out on your own. This wasn't a spoon fed movie "a la Avengers" so people are quick to dismiss it because of it. I'm glad they still have movies like this once in a while instead of the dumbed down crap we get from Hollywood all the time.

Fine by me. I'd be busy watching the endless extras on this BD.

Yeah, no freakin kidding! I'm quite blown away by all the content. You usually do not see first releases so heavily packed.

Which would then possibly justify a double dip for a potential extended cut later on, because there's a slim chance it would have nearly as many extras.

Sorry. I'm too dumb to decipher dry humor when there aren't emoticons.

Anyone know where a Decent Priced version of the Steelbook on this might be? Amazon.co.uk had one but it was £45.90, or around $72-74 (U.S.)
Re-posting this as it prob got lost in the many posts since. Any Idea where one might find a fair price on a Steelbook version?

So the TARGET 4-disc set is different in that it has a booklet inside?

Just wondering because I plan to go pick this up on my lunch break tomorrow and customer service is dreadfully slow at my local BB. Would be nice to have 50% of my trip done already.

Not really. You can't bring in a DVD & just get a coupon for future use. Well, maybe you can. It sort of depends on the store. What you can try is to bring in 3-5 DVds, go to the CS desk, turn them in & see if they'll give you the U/S Coupons while you "browse" the BD section. That way, you can Already have a coupon for $5 off when you go in tomorrow. Or, you can ask for a Manager & ask him if you can do it that way, to save time tomorrow (release day).

Default Charles de Lauzirika Interview

Hi all, Casey Broadwater here. I'm going to be doing an interview tomorrow with Blu-ray producer/documentarian Charles de Lauzirika—who directed the three-and-a-half-hour making-of feature for Prometheus—and I just wanted to see if any of you had any burning questions for him. Lemme know, and I'll see what I can do!

Thanks,

C

Seriously? Has to be one or the other? You should take some of that money you've purportedly saved and invest in a dictionary. Or, use one on-line.

3D Collector's Edition is the best to get. This one: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Prome.../39474/#Review
The Bonus Disk is in 2D with 7 hours of extras and behind the scenes. You don't need a 3D TV.

the regular 2D release is a bare bones SCAM

im ready for this tomorrow. promethues was by far my favorite movie of the past year. i even went twice to see it at the theater (i cant remember the last time i saw a movie twice in the theater). i really hope we get a sequel to this because of the great potential for the story. after reading some reviews for this blu ray it sounds like fans of promethues are getting the blu ray we deserve. the only thing that bums me out a little is no extended cut yet. those things usally take some time to be released on dvd or blu ray anyway so whatever. i would double dip if they put out a super special edition when the sequel comes out that branches the deleted scenes back in. im excited to watch this on blu in the comfort of my home.
