Actually, Blade Runner would come first.

Also, Eddie James Olmos has been rather adamant that the new Battlestar Galactica leads into Blade Runner, so:

Battlestar Galactica
Blade Runner
Alien
Aliens
Alien 3
Alien Resurrection
Prometheus

Should have checked this before

Is it worth it ignoring the 3D and just pop in the 2D version or will I miss out on a first time experience on par with Avatar?

Bear in mind this is my first viewing so hoping to make it perfect (3D, no disturbances from family etc....
Prometheus was designed from the ground up for the 3D format, so the preeminent
way to see it at home is in 3D.

I didn't watch the trailer. I only referred to the text about the helmet in the picture.

I don't have to create answers in order to have a given "stance" towards a movie. I find that quite silly. Either one like a movie or not. In case I find a movie inspiring, I often discuss it with others.

In the case of Prometheus, I've now participated in quite a few debates, including watching the movie in all 3D formats and writing a 6000 words review about it. It strikes me funny, that a lot of professional reviewers haven't deducted the very basics of the theme and peoples motive in that movie yet, and still they revolve about the obscure and confusing element, when a scientist takes of his helmet 80 years from now on another planet, a second before the computer confirms it is safe.

I wonder, if the audience wondered, when watching Metropolis in 1922, why the robot had breast and if that ruined their suspension of disbelief?

1: What are the chances of seeing an Extended Edition of this film in the future?

2: Why was certain deleted footage (Engineer reading a book) left off the release?

3: What is your next big project?

Anyone thinks Amazon price for the CE will go down further to $19.99 like Avengers 3D combo for a few days upon release?

Millburn was definitely acting scared when they discovered the corpse. Especially when he said "Yeah, ship good."
again, no he doesn't. That's Fifield. Millburn is calm the whole way through.
also he's a biologist, not a paleontologist. It makes sense that he would find a live squidly animal more enticing than a dead body.

When it comes to Vickers, it is pretty clear she's running in a straight line under what's

no
They run to the right side of the shadow and the ship follows. As if it's trying to kill them
then
[Show spoiler] it stops on Vicker's exact point before falling over directly to Shaw

In your opinion. I myself find the Theatrical to be superior.

Indeed. I particularly enjoy the scene where Lambert attacks Ripley. Not sure why it was cut.

The Theatrical is the director's cut. Fox pressured Ridley into doing the 2003 "Director's Cut" edition. Ridley prefers his original cut.

Not gonna happen. Avengers was $19.99 because Target made an error in their ad, and to compensate lowered the price to $19.99. Then Amazon matched Target. No errors this time around. But you could still get the CE at Best Buy for $19.99 with a DVD trade.

My only question for Charles de Lauzirika would be a humble request that he please produce every home video release forever.

The Director's Cut of Alien sucks. The theatrical cut is perfection.
