The 3D version also rang up $24.96 at my Walmart, despite the $29.96 price tag. They also have an exclusive BD only single disc version that was tagged $19.96. I spotted these early last week while they were restocking other titles.

Their combo pack was tagged $24.96, but might ring up cheaper as well.

Seriously guys. 3D disc won't play, requires an "update" for a PIONEER BD-RW BDR-206 Blu-ray drive. Any help would be great.

Would that be in a HTPC? If so wouldnt it be the software that needs the update? ie. PowerDVD, etc

Is the target slip same thickness as the Close Encounters of the Third Kind (Two-Disc 30th Anniversary? If so, I think it's worth it.

Pictures from target pls.

I went to Target Medford, NY at 8 am. The store DID NOT HAVE the Target-exclusive Prometheus that comes in a SLIPCASE with the booklet. They had copies in a regular slipcover with the booklet. They were the 2D editions only.

The 3D combo pack DID NOT COME in a slipcase either and it does not include the booklet. It's the standard slipcover version. I was MIFFED.

Are we CERTAIN that there is a Target exclusive SLIPCASE edition (like the slipcases for Snow White and the Huntsman) that also includes the booklet? The Target worker told me there is no such item.

I could swear I saw photos of it here on blu-ray.com.

So what's with Target NOT HAVING the exclusive 3D combo pack slipcase edition? DUH.

I think this has to be a conspiracy. I walked into target last night before they closed and saw an end cap with a picture of prometheus that read "available 10/11". This could be the part of the 10-11-12 marketing campaign that was at the end credits of prometheus. Thus, the collectors edition will come out Thursday. Could this be? Is that why no one can find the collectors this morning?

Kinda wondering if somebody bought the small supply they probably had and sold them at a profit to people out of the country?

I just came from Target - they had 2 copies of the Collector's Edition for $27.99 (not the $34.99 advertised on their website). Glad I went in as they were opening. The rest of the copies were the regular 2D editions. I gotta say, I thought the booklet would be somewhat bigger - it's just a small booklet tucked into the slipbox. Looking at it now I don't think it's worth the extra couple of bucks. Plenty of copies of the E.T. steelbook, though.

The wife went out this morning to find the 4-disc (3D/2D/DVD/digital copy) Target exclusive version with the booklet but they didn't have it, nor did they have any clue what that version was. She ended up picking up the 4-disc version sans booklet and price-matched with Best Buy's sale ($24.99) and the counter lady ended up giving it for $19.99 (Best Buy price WITH trade-in movie coupon).

Minutes later, she calls me back and says she's at Target Store closer to her work at the mall and they have only one copy of the Target exclusive Prometheus-which she promptly swaps out for the previously bought 4-disc movie.

So, it's more or less hit-or-miss when it comes to finding this thing and the thing to ask for specifically with the employees is the red Target exclusive sticker if you're looking for the included booklet.

Getting a better pricing deal situation aside, the level of screw-ups with this exclusives release-first Prometheus, and then the messed-up pricing on the Avengers Target-exclusive seriously makes me wonder if monkeys are running the advertising aspect for Target
