Check post # 2289.

I don't remember having to hunt down so many exclusives like I'm doing now. I'm getting too old for this (and I'm only 38 )

SO I guess that "receive on release day" deal is off for this blu-ray.
its not off. someone just messed up.
if you have prime, you should get new releases the day it comes out. it even says it on almost all upcoming releases
"Want to receive this the day it comes out?
Select FREE Two-Day Shipping at checkout. "

in my case, since my shipping date was changed to friday instead of today( being a prime member and all) i called them last night and complained about it, and canceled my order. 10 minutes later, i called customer service..told them what happened, and she gave me one day shipping so my package should be coming today.

My Target didn't have the exclusive out on the endcap. It was sitting on a cart still in the box. I opened the box and took a copy.

Check the aisles for those carts...they probably haven't put them up yet.

Ordered mine on amazon on the 4th along with Strangers on a Train and Dial M for Murder, and they still haven't shipped yet. So much for release day delivery, it says it won't be here until friday.

Edit: Just read gino's post. Sounds like I'm not the only one.

I felt like George Costanza at the optometrist not getting the Kramer discount. I will try my local BB in NJ to see if my results change.
Got two of the 3D version (1 for me and 1 for my son) at Best Buy using the U&S coupons with no problem.

Actually the Best Buy I was at doesn't use physical U&S coupons any more. They told me to pickout the Blu-rays I wanted, bring them to the service counter with the DVDs and the $5 would be deducted.

Very simple process.

Target In Target, everyone can hear you scream

Just returned from an excursion to Best Buy (to get the ET Digibook) and to check out a different Target (East Setauket, NY). They had the Target-exclusive 3D (4-disc) Prometheus with slipcase and booklet on the rack for $27.99.

I went to the electronics section check out counter to pay. I mentioned to the worker that Best Buy has the 3D combo pack for $24.99 and they are offering a $5 Upgrade & Save coupon to make the net price $19.99. The worker said to me, "I can match Best Buy." I said I don't have the $5 coupon on me. He said no problem. I walked out of Target with Prometheus 3D combo pack with the slipcase and booklet for $19.99 plus tax.

I couldn't find this release. Mine had the 2D with a Target exclusive sticker, not 3D. I wonder if my Target was just out. They had the 3D, but it was a regular slipcover.

Wow, I doubt there's gonna be a copy like that available around Target, but I guess it won't hurt to try right?

Went to Target at 8 AM, they had the 3D 4 disc set with booklet but it was only a slip cover, no slip box as mentioned in other posts.

Basically the same as best buy with the slip cover, only difference is the art book was inside the 4 disc set.

For $27.99 no freakin way, went to BB for the 4-disc and minus the Upgrade and save and $5 rewards, it was $15.

Many targets got none. I was there at opening and all they had was 2d.

I just read a review that states, in the audio commentary, both Scott and Lindelof refrer to the
[Show spoiler]Deacon as an Alien queen
. Can anyone confirm that?

Just got back from Target (picked up the E.T. Steelbook while I was there).

My store had quite a few copies of the 2D version up by the registers, and then I would say 20-30 of the 3D exclusives (with the slipbox and booklet) back in the media section waiting to be placed in plastic cases or spider wraps.

If I was in the market for Target's edition, I'd have grabbed one, especially considering they were still yet-to-be-damaged, but I went with the 3D version from Amazon. Now I'm just waiting for my copy to arrive!

Duh, I suppose I should have done that earlier- thank you Parasite. Just made a return back to the NYC BB and same girl who rang me up at customer service was there with another girl, who handled my return. Conversation went like this:

me: "I bought this earlier and that girl rang me up and said the coupon wouldn't ring up because it was a 3D movie. Well, here is your ad [wave it under her nose] that says $19.99 with coupon, so I should be getting $5 back."

girl who first rang me up: "Yeah, I checked later, and we are supposed to take those coupons- it needs to be rung up a different way, because the register isn't taking the coupons."

me: "Oh, so it's not because it's 3D, after all?"

girl: "Yes, that's right."

NOLA ftw!

Received this yesterday from Amazon. I watched it for the 2nd time and enjoyed it even more. Watched the deleted scenes and was glad most of them were cut or trimmed down. the only scene I wish they kept in was the version of Fifield transformation at the ships bay door. looked much better that way than just some mutant with a big head.

Uh, no you're not being forced to buy, you have an addiction to buy shiny new Blu-ray Disc. This is even after you've seen the movie and admitted you wouldn't watch it more than once or twice! This would easily be a wait 28 days and view on netflix if I were you!
