Still debating on 2D or 3D. Plan to grab Alien for $4.99 as well. I've got $5 RZ cert. I can print at the store when I exchange the DVD's for the U&S coupons. That's 15 bucks total savings. My debate is I don't own 3D equipment and I know I will only watch the extras once. So applying one U&S coupon and the $5 RZ cert. I'd be able to grab the 2D for $9.99 a great deal.

I use a local BV store to rent movies I'm on the fence for buying it. They get the movies (or buy them from elsewhere) day 1 of release. No waiting 30 days.

Regarding this movie? No need to rent! Loved it!

Not interested in any of these exclusives...all I'm wondering is; is the 3D version worth the extra 6.00 from amazon (24.99/3D as oppose to 19.99). Basically, hows the 3D?

Thank you for your help

I have this in my netflix queue, except netflix is holding it back for 1 month, not sure why. I thought this movie was just good, not great, probably not something I would watch more than once or twice on BD, but Im impatient so I ordered it for in-store pickup from BB.

Really annoys me that netflix has been doing this more and more lately. This movie is the perfect example of something I would just use netflix for but they're screwing me again.
Just go a BV store and rent it. I have netflix and that's what I do.

Sometimes I buy it and don't open it until I watch my rental. I do this when it is an exclusive, limited, etc. etc.

$5 by my count, but close.

All joking aside, having not seen this on 3D Blu but in IMAX 3D at the theater, I remember it being quite an immersive experience. I generally dislike 3D as I don't think it does much for the overall experience (especially with those huge IMAX 3D glasses), but I actually liked the 3D presentation of Prometheus quite a bit. If the blu is anything like the theater, I'd say it's very good -- and the reviewer on here seems to agree (4.5/5 for the 3D).

I dont know what a BV store is. Never heard of it. I already bought Prometheus. I didnt want to but oh well. I might watch it once or twice then again in a year or 2. lol

I liked the movie I guess, just didnt love it. Felt it was too predictable and dull. Im sure it will look pretty on the big screen though.

So, I'm the only one who hates the 3D cover then? I wish they had kept the face cover. :/

I can see some resemblance, but probably through how quickly the evolution chain is for those suckers, I can't imagine that being the case....

Basically the same as best buy with the slip cover, only difference is the art book was inside the 4 disc set.

For $27.99 no freakin way, went to BB for the 4-disc and minus the Upgrade and save and $5 rewards, it was $15.
Man that makes me feel good! I went to Target to get that exclusive but my store didn't even have it. I did the same thing you did! Glad to know it didn't have a side slip box. That would have home better with the alien anthology on my shelf better but glad to know I didn't miss out on anything! I already own the full art of Prometheus book which is incredible by the way!

When you take a moment to really look at the cover up close, it almost looks silly to me.

I'd have preferred the monolith face, dark, noomi rapace with her flashlight at the bottom, theatrical poster cover!

The 4-disc set is definitely ringing up at $24.96 at Walmart, thanks for the heads up. My local Walmart had about 15-20 in stock.

Anybody know, is the 3D version listed on Target's website the Target-exclusive one, or just the normal one? I ask because I may call Target and give them the store SKU 058-36-0180 and ask them to hold one but I want the exclusive.

ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!

Picked up my 3D bluray copy and sending out a memo for everyone who purchases a copy with a digital copy code within. Please let me know if anyone is receiving a message when attempting to redeem the digital download that reads "The code you entered is not recognized as a valid code."

Never had this before so maybe someone with some insight can let me know, but definitely anyone else out there with the same thing. Reply and say so, thanks :-)
