Is anyone else having trouble getting the bonus disc to play? I have an original slim model PS3 and the movie disc plays just fine. However, I just tried to play both the bonus BD and the 3D BD and neither will work. The PS3 recognizes the disc and lets me start playing them. But, when the disc starts to load eventually my TV says it is not receiving a signal anymore. I've checked all the cables and their connections and they are good. Also, if I eject the disc the PS3 cross media bar menu will not come back either. It's like the disc makes my PS3 stop sending a video and audio signal completely. So is anyone else having a similar issue?

Is there a BB exclusive for Prometheus? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Fox Digital Copy worked like a charm... Thanks.

I take it the digital copy is only SD?... That's the only one that redeemed.

Just got back from BBY. Smooth sailing all the way. Used 2 U&S coupons and a $5 RZ. Snagged the 3D edition of Prometheus & Alien (shockingly with a mint slip & the only copy with one ) $22.03 for both out the door

For those having trouble Activating the digital copy. You have to run the program from the Digital Copy DVD. Do not redeem it from itunes directly. It will tell you to enter the redemption code from the slip. Then it will generate a new code for Itunes.

The only US exclusives are the target exclusives available in 2D and 3D.

Out of curiosity...has anyone used a PS3 to play this? The 3D version I mean?

If so, did it play okay?

Wait they let you use 2 upgrade and save vouchers on "Prometheus" alone or one for that and the other for the "Alien" Anthology set? And how exactly does that total come to $22.03 lol seems like they messed up in the charge in which case yay for you and bad for them. Or was it $22.03 for each item which would bring your total to $44.06 ???

Well I managed to get a little further in figuring out my bonus disc playback problem. It appears there are some 3D segments that play before the menus and my Denon receiver is not able to use 3D. I believe it is HDMI 1.2 and not the 1.3 needed for 3D. I tried plugging my PS3 directly into my TV and it managed to get through the 3D parts (although they were messed up and didn't play correctly) and the menu finally came up. I hope I can figure something out to get the disc to play without having to change my HDMI cable around each time I want to watch the disc.

Do you have a 3D tv or have you updated your PS3 firmware? Some 3D discs will require you to update the firmware before you can watch them.

So the 3D Blu-ray copy bonus disk has 3D parts so it won't play probably on regular HDTV?

I know I am sounding hyperbolic here, but my God, this disc look incredible. It's easily on the shortlist for A/V presentation of the year (for a new release, anyway). My only real bone of contention is having to buy the 3D package just to get the bonus features. I haven't had to do that since Transformers: Dark Of The Moon.

Transformers Dark Of The Moon
Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides
Cars 2
Prometheus

thyose are the 4 movies in my collection that got shafted on a extra disc because of the 3D versions getting them instead, luckily people sell these discs on ebay and i was able to snag all of them without having to buy the 3D versions

I was able to use one $5 U&S on "Alien" which was on sale for $9.99 making it $4.99. Then I used another $5 U&S combined with a $5 RZ cert. on the 3D "Prometheus" which as you know was on sale for $24.99. So I got a total of $10 bucks off making it $14.99. Total purchase was $19.98. After tax I payed $22.03. However I think they still managed to do something wrong because it should have been $21.63 after tax. Oh well, I'm not gonna complain about .40 cents LOL!

P.S. I never said I bought the Anthology set. I said I bought "Alien". I have NO INTEREST in owning 3 or that other abomination.

I wouldn't say it's hyperbolic at all. It's an impressive looking disc, without a doubt.

The 3D disc ONLY contains the movie. The extras are split between two separate blu-ray discs, one including the 2D version of the movie.

You should see this flick in 3D, since it was shot in native 3D.
It's the best way to truly "experience" this movie.

It's the way Ridley Scott wants you to see it.

I went with the 2D version. Regardless of how he wants me to see it, I DID see it that way in theaters (3D), but I'm not buying a 3D set until glasses aren't requied, or at the very least, there's consistency across the board as to what's offered out there.
