There were plenty left at Target around my area. Can't wait to rewatch this. To be honest, I thought the mini artbook would have more pages. Oh well.

Glad I got one but needed one for my friend so he is SOL.
Which Target did you go to in the Bay Area? I went at 8am to the Target on Coleman in San Jose and they had a few in stock, but I'm glad I got there early because they looked like they were gonna sell out by the afternoon.

Nice to see someone besides myself had a rather slow Target employee ring them up (well, more like my wife got it rung up) for the $19.99 price. Guess reading the fine print doesn't seem to be the standard with Target's employee training anymore

Wife just got home and gave me the package. Popped in the 3D version onto my PS3 and watched the first 20 mins of it and no probs whatsoever. Had the PS3 hooked up via my PS3 3D 24" monitor and the PQ is simply awesome. The book (which after looking at it) is nothing more than a teaser for the actual Art Book that's out, so no one's missing anything by not being able to get this exclusive. But it would be interesting to know why Target dropped the ball on this one the way they did.

Definitely adding this one to my "gotta show you this to make you upgrade from DVD's, guys" list

For anyone on a PC having trouble getting the iTunes digital copy to work, put the digital copy DVD in your drive, browse inside the contents and go to DVDROM / MediaManager and launch the MediaManagerII application. From there, you will enter your code in and it will generate a new one which you can paste into iTunes itself to activate your digital download.

I assume I'm a lucky guy too because I live in the Los Angeles area and assume that living here, Target makes sure we get copies of their exclusives. I went to one Target looking for the 3D set with the booklet. They had loads of the 2D sets with booklets but none of the 3d at all. I asked a kid stocking shelves, and he said they were probably going to get their allotment later in the day. Then, he did a very cool thing and offered to check other local Targets to see if they were in stock at any of them! He told me three other area Targets had 22 copies each. I thanked him and headed to the closer Target and found them alright -- spider-wrapped.

Just to play it safe, I found the least-constricted copy with a booklet and bought it. Then, I realized I should've picked up a Best Buy ad and had them price-match it. I went to BB later to pick up E.T. on digibook and grabbed a weekly ad on my way out. Headed immediately to a third Target where they not only still had 3D copies but sans spider-wrap! Had it price-matched and felt even more lucky than when the day started.

I'll return the first 3D Prometheus set the next time I'm back at Target. Any one of 'em.

Watching the creature design part of the documentary now - I can't believe how much of the special effects work was done practically. I think nowadays I just assume that most of the work will be done as CG. But they really went all out with old school effects on this film.

Not only that but the sets. I mean, they almost built everything for this film. The production design has to get an Oscar nomination.

And it looks absolutely brilliant. Best looking monsters since Carpenter's The Thing IMHO. I used to say the facehugger and xenomorph in Alien were the only 100% believable monsters hollywood ever produced, but now I can say this film has done the same. I don't see f/x when I see these beasts--I see living things.

Absolutely. One of the biggest strengths, in my opinion...really helped make the film worth it for me.

The "how to" won't work on Mac computers. I had to call Fox and get a new code.

For anyone else needing to call Fox to resolve problems with installing/downloading the digital copy, the telephone number is:

(866) 520-6606

Be prepared to wait. I was on hold for more than 40 minutes. The rep told me they are being slammed with calls over this issue.

Same here but they resolved it very quickly. Maybe 2 minutes total talking to them.

Yes. I said this when it hit theaters but I will say it again: I really hope this film sets new trends in the industry. I'm tired of CG fests. F/x are supposed to serve the story, not vice versa, and moviegoers appreciate the craftsmanship of the old ways.

Movies used to be magic because we stared in wonder at the magic before us. We could not believe the artistry and ingenuity that went into creating the illusion of film. Computer graphics hold no mystery, and are rarely used with proper subtlety. They are an awesome tool, but a badly overused tool most of the time.

Just finished my copy. Watched this movie for the first time. Overall pretty good, but all questions haven't been answered! Why Ridley why!!

PQ is outstanding, and the AQ is pretty good especially the surrounds!

I tried to cut-n-paste that code when I went to the redeem straight from iTunes and it kept telling me I need to put the iTunes Digital Copy DVD in. It was in as that's how I started the Fox Digital Copy app. The trick I found was to use the "Launch iTunes" button from the Fox Digital Copy app which took me to a Prometheus page in iTunes and the code worked.

Hope this helps others (like me) who already had iTunes open and are used to adding codes straight into the Store redeem page.
