Watched half of the Furious Gods doc.

Whoa. It's perfectly complementary to the Alien documentaries. So much information!

Where's this serial number?

Glad I got one but needed one for my friend so he is SOL.
The Target store here had 8 copies when I went in after work today. I was going to grab one, but it's just not worth the extra $8 to me*.

*Versus buying the regular 3D version @ Best Buy for $24.99 - $5 U&S coupon = $19.99.

I actually don't think there were terrible logic gaps and there are some funny videos online that address this.

But the one major gap the film has for me is the quality of the crew. It's hard to believe that the quirky "professional" characters in this movie are actually academics with the equivalent of masters and doctorate degrees in their fields of specialty. It's also not believable that psychological profiles weren't performed on each crew member before the mission to make sure they could stand up to the rigors of a potentially dangerous and risky mission. And it's also not realistic to me that you launch a $trillion (?) mission with such a small crew. I think there are more crew members on a flight from New York to Paris than there were in this movie. Although many of these flaws also exist in some of the Alien sequels to some extent.

I went ahead and just called that Fox # (866) 520-6606, and was on hold for about 10 minutes, and the guy gave me a new Digital Copy code. Glad I took care of this now rather than waiting.

I used the DVD trade in $5.00 coupon today at BB to pick up the 4 disc collector's edition. Just finished watching the 2D Blu-ray version about a half hour ago. I would say that I enjoyed the film much more the second time around, though the film has plot imperfections.

The BD looks "demo" quality, perhaps the best I have seen on my home HDTV.

It's on the insert inside the packaging. Says Redemption Code above it.

Yeah I tried that earlier, didn't work still. Anyway, I posted above. I called Fox and got it taken care of. Thanks!

My collection is small but in my opinion, this the best looking Blu-Ray I've seen since Avatar. Absolutely stunning PQ. And with such an immersive audio track. This is easily the best blind buy I've made yet. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I hate you 20th Century Fox. You're forcing people to buy the 3D just to get the bonus content disc. And for this movie, the bonus content is a big deal.

This is nothing compared to how Paramount screwed people on the 2D Transformers blu-ray last year, but this is up there.

Stop boning the people who like or only can afford the 2D. Let each version have the equal amount of features. Buena Vista did that with The Avengers, with the exception of the DC.

I had my Target price-match Best Buy's price before buying my 3D set w/booklet. She's used the big, bold $19.99 shown in BB weekly ad that I brought in. Also used my Target RED Card to save a few more nickels and dimes on top of that.

I never even attempt to try the price match thing unless it's for the exact same item.

I didn't even know about the special doc bonus disc. This was a definite first day buy for me that I didn't even bother to look into the difference between the 2D and 3D versions. Now gotta return the 2D and get the 3D version. I really want that bonus disc.

Be prepared to wait. I was on hold for more than 40 minutes. The rep told me they are being slammed with calls over this issue.

Yes, it works on a Mac. There's a program on the digital copy disc called "Fox digital copy" or something like that. Use that.

I DID try that. No go for me!

Perhaps Fox fixed something AFTER I tried to use the Fox Digital Copy app?

This worked for me, it gives you a new code to paste in iTunes.

At least the two were the same price. Well up here in Canada any ways. And I'm very grateful to FOX that the 3D version isn't plastered with "3D" all over the cover unlike other 3D films.

They weren't the same price. The 3D version is $5 more. With the trade and save promotion, you can get the 3D for 19.99, or you can use it on the regular 2D version and get it for 14.99.
