You need to contact them and complain! I have Amazon Prime and was supposed to get it on release day but I didn't get it til the next day - I was speaking with Customer Service for like 20 minutes and eventually got $5 off my next order.

I mostly viewed it as a horror film and didn't think about the science too much.
Let's hear what the flaws are. Not saying there aren't any, just want to hear what you felt/though were flaws.

And in case you haven't noticed, people are still confused as hell about it, albeit less since hearing the commentaries. But a movie should not require a commentary to make sense of elements in the plot. Still, with so many questions answered, people in this thread are still mostly trying to sort this crap out.
There are some confusion, true...just like in other movies. What I see here, for the most part, is not confusion. Rather, it's discussion of the parts that weren't there in black and white. The director purposely left some parts vague or incomplete. These foster these great theories in this thread.

All theories are great as long as they cannot be disproved by something that is definite in the movie.

Disagree. This film can stand on its own pretty effortlessly and goes in a totally different direction than the Alien franchise.

i would easily say that it matches up quite well to Star Trek if your speaking about 2009's Version? hell i would throw Prometheus in the top 10 best science fiction films since 2000

Is it a hard-light hologram or something?

Joking right?

Seriously though, I personally love this movie. Saw it in 3D and then a week later an IMAX screen opened near me so I saw it in IMAX which was amazing. Watched the blu ray last night and man is the picture quality fantastic. Not sure if this has been discussed but I really love the score as well especially that main theme that plays at the beginning and throughout the film.

Well said - there is a fine line between laziness and asking the audience to think a little bit.

You mean he doesn't treat the audience like infants and make up their own minds for them, unlike most big movies today..

Deacon - our first Alien

well that could happen - it could had happen like that 2000 years ago

engineres get to earth and do like david do to holloway

the people have sex and the woman give births to that facehugger that attacks her right away like Shaw's facehugger that wants to attack her.

and how of her comes our first true alien - and maybe it was brought back to engineers place and then it all went loose

No, thats not what I mean and Im sure others that also see some of the issues with the film dont mean that either.

As a few of us pointed out, there is a difference between making your audience think a bit and simply leaving gaping holes in plot or logic. Thats all.
