Gotcha. This is the same movie with with extended scenes. As those put in as "Special Features?"

The A L I E N sets are STILL my all time favorite.

Oh if only I could win the lottery. I would have sooo many sci-fi movie sets made that it wouldn't even be funny.

Actually it would.

Has anyone had an issue with the digital copy disc? When I put mine in it won't load the program. I'm trying to get it for use in iTunes.

You have to follow the instructions on the little front booklet
it's not what you'd expect

Go the the Fox website on the instruction, place in the code on the slip and they will give you another code for iTunes.

And see all of us from the first couple of days were figuring all these ways around it, to redeem our non-UV DCs, and all along there were instructions in a booklet?

Being that he's military, Janek recognizes the goo for what it is, a biological weapon. He sacrifices himself to save Earth. As for the other two shipmates who join him...yeah, probably unnecessary, but I guess it was meant to show us a moment of loyalty and sacrificial team spirit.

7) Whad'ya mean no one was excited? Milburn seemed pretty pumped about discovering that Hammerpede!
To add a few more points...
On number 6, for the crew members who chose to stay with the captain, I see it as they had a choice between living for 2 years (or less, since there'd be more oxygen and food used up with 4 people) in a liferaft, or sacrificing themselves in a valiant effort to protect our planet Earth. I probably woulda chose to go out like a hero, over fighting with Vickers over the next year or so!

On number 7, were some people not watching the movie closely enough? Shaw and Ford were plenty excited about their find. Even David looked happy at what he'd found on more than one occasion. In fact, the entire crew was pretty much either mesmerized or terrified by what they saw. Hell, even after everything that had happened, Weyland was still excited to meet his maker! The ONLY person that was disappointed was Holloway. He wanted to talk to them because he was tired of searching for answers in tombs. We see this disappointment take root upon his realization that the new room they'd just opened was indeed a tomb. I don't understand why most folks seem to take this one character's feelings and projects them upon the rest of the crew.

Yikes! I thought she was kind of cute, and her look worked for the role. IMHO, of course.
I also thought she was cute.

I thought you just had to go to the website and enter a code
then you download it from there

I don't remember using the disc for that.

You're thinking of the UV Copy.

Good point! Thanks for expanding on this

Agreed here as well. I would've explained this myself except I was tired of writing at this point, so I decided to take the easy way out and made an obvious joke instead

I had to put the disk in, open it in My Computer. It loaded a choice screen and then I put in the code on the slip insert. It then gives you another (differant code) to copy to the iTunes redeem sceen that opens. Then it will download it.

So after looking at the instructions and going to the websites mentioned in relation to the iTunes digital copy (not the UV), I"m not seeing where to put in the redemption code. Any more suggestions please?

My computer wouldn't load the Media Manager program. Might just end up returning for another copy if I can't get it to work.

I just watched Alien last night ,and I have no idea why they designed the "engineer" in Prometheus so small, compare to the original design he looks like a midget brother .
probably the CGI would be too expensive,I wonder why are they didn't use the camera trick-"forced perspective" like in LOTR?

Before the BDs of Prometheus were released, there were reports that Spaights original script would be included, just as Dan O'Bannon's script was included on the Alien release. Spaights okayed it, but some legal issue prevented it from being included:

Jon Spaihts‏@jonspaihts

@RiseDarthVader | I'm hearing that, due to legal issues, the script plan did not go through. I'm still there in commentary and interviews.
