Perhaps for the 3D master they used a downscaling algorithm that was more aggressive in avoiding aliasing when going from 2K to 1080p...

I do not know about that, but my 3D experience (with glasses on) was not fuzzy like that at all.

Seems like the panic is over, it's just the 3D version is lacking slightly in high frequency detail and both versions are excellent.

Oh I'm not saying they are wrong I'm just saying it didn't seem that way to me when watching it. I figured if there was a difference in PQ between the 2D version it would be like splitting but this is indicating something very noticeable and I'm a little shocked, only because I found it to be a feast for the eyes

Why was he the only one left? Did he infect the others? I sincerely hope this is going to be explored in '2 Pro 2 Metheus' (or whatever the sequel will be called).

I also wonder if we will learn about a war between engineers, a group of rogue engineers, or something else of that nature? That idea has a lot of potential, I think.

Kinda off topic, but has anyone been to the IMDb message board for Prometheus? It's such a headache. Nothing but loser trolls who post comments relating to their animosity towards the film.

Despite the fact that they despise the film, they still post in the message board daily. In a weird way, it somewhat sickens me. I don't think I can go there anymore without feeling irritated. Bleh.

Yeah sometimes I think they're just there to argue. I would never troll around a thread regarding a movie I hate because I have no interest in talking about it. That's just me though For the record, I liked Prometheus

I agree. IMDB message boards are a complete mess. It's solely being used as an anti-(insert movie you don't like) channel where you can have nitpicking contests that last for days.

A few of those types here as well, but thankfully just a few.

I can't stop humming "Love The One You're With" now. And I never even liked that song before.

I went to the electronics section check out counter to pay. I mentioned to the worker that Best Buy has the 3D combo pack for $24.99 and they are offering a $5 Upgrade & Save coupon to make the net price $19.99. The worker said to me, "I can match Best Buy." I said I don't have the $5 coupon on me. He said no problem. I walked out of Target with Prometheus 3D combo pack with the slipcase and booklet for $19.99 plus tax.
Does Target do price matches?

Yes target does price match. The policy on exclusives though varies at each store. The targets near me will not price match on any exclusives. Basically meaning YMMV.

Fantastic!

Hopefully the studio keeps pushing ahead with the sequel with no looking back.
