Again, each to their own.
This is actually the first movie where I thought she looked attractive. Doesn't help that the only movies I've seen her in had her as a punk-goth hacker, and a gypsie though.

I thought that the short red hair helped her, but then again...it could just be because I spent eighty-plus hours with this lady.

Agreed. Of the movies I've seen her in, that's the one she looked best in IMO.

I thought she looked good and her accent wasn't distracting. I thought her cheek-bones looked more pronounced than I'd seen before though. I wondered if an alien was going to burst out of them!

Off-topic but I have a smart search engine on my browser and any time I type in an actresses name it will come up as *insert actress name 'feet' as the second most popular search option! Either the world has gone foot-fetish crazy or the girls want to see what the latest fashion is below the ankle or my search engine is really weird....

I was hoping that would be a deleted scene or something.

I have no idea what he's talking about. Unless it's Zero G-Spot Gravity and we all know that's a myth and doesn't exist.

Maybe that's Paradise?

It's definitely the haircut. Bad cut and bad color. She looked so much better in the extras in that video thing she sent to Weyland.

Kane was also NOT a scientist in any way so he had less knowlege of what he was getting into. 2) I realize that neither guy used the best judgement but one scene was MUCH more realistic & less eyroll-inducing than the other.
1) Erm, gravity?

2) How about Brett looking for Jones? He was basically asking to be killed.

LOL all of this silly talk about Noomi's looks. Did any of you watch the same Documentary as I? Did any of you see how nimble she was? Sheesh, I have a rather nimble girlfriend but damn, the way Noomi threw her legs up with ease, her looks, and I find her to be attractive, are secondary if you ask me.

I don't think that the movie has "plot holes", but I was still upset by two things.

[Show spoiler]1) Noomi Rapace's incredibly swift recovery after major surgery.

2) People running in front of a rolling wheel of doom instead of running perpendicular (i.e. sideways) to it.

I disagree. I think she's rather average, which is a nice break from all the supermodels that permeate most films. Now her boyfriend on the other hand came off as a mildly flamboyant Calvin Klein model. Total mismatch if you ask me, but she sure sold the hell out of his death scene.

It's supposed to be like they are avoiding the debris field as Prometheus is coming down all around them, but the way it's shot, it just looks like two dumb broads that need a navigator app in their suits ("run twenty meters forward, then turn and run in any direction that is not your current one"). You can see Shaw bank right at the very last second in one of the wide overhead shots, but it's not enough to balance the scene and make it fully credible.

It really doesn't bother me though. I still find the scene exciting.

How many other movies do the same thing though, its all about making a tense and exciting scene. Even at the loss of logic.

Very high production values, acting, and story, up until maybe the last 15-30 minutes when some goofy things happen as mentioned in my "spoiler" post.

For $15 after two coupons at Best Buy, why not?

During pre-order I would have advised against it, but it seems like a lot of the blind buyers are enjoying their purchases.

I happen to really like the film. Saw it twice in the theater and I still give give it a strong 8/10.

Every instance of people running in front of a
[Show spoiler]rolling wheel of doom
sucks.
