So looks like it might just be deleted scenes, after all. Unfortunate if that's the case (especially since there's so much footage there), but at least we're getting to see the material either way.

3D was great even though Im sure my migraine the next day was thanks to that!

I love how everyone is saying "I'll wait for the extended cut" even thought there won't be one. Ridley already said that he thinks of the theatrical cut as his extended cut and that the BD release will have the deleted scenes seperately. There won't be an extended cut ever unless FOX decides they want more money from fans and make their own extended cut for release when the sequel comes out.

We don't know. Tons of companies turn around and re release something with a new cut. Double dipping happens all the time. It may happen it may not. Don't think we can dismiss entirely though.

That's insane. Even without a longer cut (looking likely), that's one hell of an amazing package. That's Alien Anthology-level supplemental material.

That lineup of extras is very promising. This sort of stuff is usually reserved for special editions of catalogue titles as opposed to brand new films, so it's nice that they've obviously put a lot of time and effort in.
