Picking up the collector's edition day 1. I would have gotten the 2D set but, I want the bonus disc.

Since the deleted scenes are on the 2D disc as well I'm not sure what version I want. Don't care for 3D but that cover art is sexy.

Amazon is taking too long to change its cover. lol

Anyway I guess its all but confirmed that 3D version will have a bonus disc, while 2D dont?

For me it's mainly the amazing cover art and the lengthy documentary that will most likely be on the bonus disc. The documentaries of Ridely Scott films are incredible. Just like at the ones on Blade Runner and Alien Anthology.

Considering the same DVD producer that did those two releases is producing this one... the documentary and features will be FANTASTIC!

I feel the 'original' art was the best. It's the same as the poster and describes the movie more. It shows an explorer stumbling onto giant ruins etc... A big head on it's own says nothing.

Yeah, I hope the 3D price drops soon. I'd like to pay only about $25, though $20 is my preferred for 3D discs, so I may wait a while

I don't have a problem with the cover art. I think the emphasis on the movie is the engineer, and it's nice to see them as the centerpiece for the cover.

The original cover art sucked. It was trying to hard to look like Alien. The new cover art looks beautiful and lets the film stand by itself. Yes, the film is an Alien prequel but, it is it's own individual film.

Yeah i was a fan of the original art. Also is this already confirmed Region A? The stats on here state its region A or is that just a guess?

I like the new cover a million times better. I don't know why they emphasized the head so much in advertising.

I'm with you on that one. For me, it'll come down to what exactly is on that bonus disc.

Thanks to this forum (my latest obsession), I've decided to preorder "Prometheus to Alien: The Evolution Boxset" as I own neither Alien movies (was contemplating the Alien Anthology Boxset) from Amazon.co.uk. Though I have noted that the UK and the German box set differ. Can anyone confirm? The UK box set has a t-shirt but the German one contains a book.

Also, will this boxset include the all the features of the Alien Anthology boxset? It is a 9-disc set, so I am hoping that none of the features were cut.

Based on the info that has been released, I think it includes all the features from the Anthology. It also includes both 3D and 2D discs of Prometheus as well as the bonus features disc for Prometheus.
