OMG this is soo awesome!!!!

according to waylandinverstors on tumblr:

Quote:
So, this is the Canadian Collector’s Edition cover.

So far the situation with the covers is:

Shaw/David/Vickers - Hungarian/US DVD and US regular Blu-ray

Engineer - US Collector’s Edition 4-disc set and Hungarian regular Blu-ray

Orrery (the one above) - Canadian Collector’s Edition

Info subject to change as we get closer to 10.11.12.

I really want that cover, better than the engineer IMO.

Pull a X-men First Class and release them with multiple slips.

I expect the Orrery Collector's Edition cover will be ours as well, not the Engineer head (that will be the 2D edition). The Engineer one, as seen on this site, has '1080p' and 'DTS-HD' logos in the corners of the cover - which indicates that it is not the US edition. I expect that the covers seen on Futureshop will be our designs - not just for Canada.

That's the price now, at least. I am expecting them both to go down a little before it releases, but not by a lot. I will pay the extra 7 bucks, but I don't have to be happy about it. I feel as a consumer I have the right to voice my distaste for this move by Fox. I am not calling to boycott the release or anything, just *****ing.

I was just about to post this.

Man, the studios are really, really making it interesting when it comes to their digital copies...especially on iTunes.

If that's the case when is he gonna buy my that 3-D tv?!

I saw Prometheus in 2K Digital 3D in a theatre.

The 3D was virtually non-existent. I often forgot I was watching a 3D movie. The main thing that reminded me was the annoyingly uncomfortable glasses and the duller than usual image.

I love the movie and I'd love to have ALL the extras, but I have little interest in the 3D disc.

So... There's a (3D Blu-ray/Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy) and a (Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Copy).

Is there extra content on the 3D disc?

Or is there extra content on the 2D Blu-ray in the 4-disc set?

Has it been confirmed what this content is?

I clicked on the "Includes iTunes Extras" pic on the left hand side column and it brings up some screenshots from the menu...

... I find it very interesting the film runtime is 2:39:09

There's an entire disc's worth of additional content with the 3D version.

I'm pretty sure the 3D disc is barebones, so if you truly don't want it, but still want the extras, you could probably sell the 3D disc by itself on Ebay and make $15-20.

That implies that the 2D Blu-ray in the 4-disc set is different to the one in the 3-disc.

And that there is no 2D version of the film, just an extras 2D Blu-ray.

It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Weird to see the prices on par with Canada. Usually it's always much less in the US.

Canada is expensive in general. I've heard cases of locals ordering products from the States (specifically, Blu Rays) 'cuz it's less pricey. Imagine that.

Tell me about it. I order from the States sometimes as well for Blus. I got a lot of TV series for half the price.

What's the problem with the runtime? I'm not following you.

He states a runtime of 2 hours and 39 minutes, whilst the theatrical release (according to WIkipedia) is only 2 hours and 4 minutes.. so that's an additional 35 minutes out of nowhere .
