Most likely, the 2D version will be the Engineer's head and the Collector's Edition will be David in the Orrery.

Personally I love both of those designs over the statue poster.

As with Alien, I really enjoyed watching those deleted scenes from Prometheus (although the Holloway/Shaw scene was cringe-inducing)...and as with Alien, I'm sooooo glad those extra scenes were removed.

I doubt if there will be any retailer exclusives of true note, since it was a decent sized hit, but not a huge hit. I would welcome it though.

I'm kinda in it for a 3D Blu-ray, if priced right, but will buy day one for sure.

There is a Play.com exclusive Steelbook in the UK which has the 3D and 2D blu rays and a digital copy.

So am I reading this correctly, the 2D will have deleted scenes but the 3D version gets a behind the scenes and no deleted scenes???

The 3D version doesn't have the deleted scenes as well?? Or are people implying the 3D version is getting the behind the scenes along with everything else

I really want the 3D edition but just need to make sure

Just saw the deleted scenes, Holloway is just super annoying, I for the life of me can't understand why he is so disappointed with what they find. Its proof of alien life for god sake!

It is kinda stupid that they inc the scenes and they did not finish them off so they can be added back in. This just smells of a Special Edition when part 2 is out in 2 years time.

Kinda sucks but hey at least we getting to see the scenes.

I knew I shouldn't have jumped the gun and ordered the 3D combo pack with Fox Connect. Oh well. Less than $29 with free shipping is still a good deal for a day one product.

Hi, This is going to be a blind buy for me on release date. I am a fan of the Alien franchise but mainly Aliens(2nd movie). I know this movie is not action paced but am hoping I will love the visuals in this. I also know it isn't directly related to the Aliens movie but there are some ties which I'm ok with. Getting it on 2D bluray.

Couple questions.

Do you think the visuals alone(regardless of story) in this make it worth buying? Will this be a demo worthy bluray?

Also, Does the movie drag at all or is the story(even with plotholes) easy to watch?

The movie looks incredible, visually more mindblowing than Avatar. No one can know for sure if the disc will be demo worthy yet, but if FOX does the disc right it will look incredible.

Thanks, I'm really excited about this now. I just wish it would release a week sooner because I fly out of the country on Oct. 7th and won't be back until Oct. 20th. So I'm going to have to wait even longer to watch it. urgh!
