Some speculate that they're waiting on the release in Italy. Some seem to think next Tuesday will bring answers.

Does anyone know if FoxConnect charges for a pre-order item when the order is placed or when it ships?

There's 3 aspect ratios for the theatrical release:

2D&3D: 2.35:1
IMAX 3D(Digital):2.00:1
IMAX 3D(70MM):1.66:1

This movie came and went pretty quickly in my area which kind of caught me off guard cause I wanted to see it a second time.

A day one purchase for me when the BD is available. I thought the movie was great and so was the PQ and AQ of the film at my local theater.

I don't have many facts to support this but since the full DVD rip that has been posted online only had 10 minutes of deleted scenes... It seems reasonable to believe that is all we are getting on this version of the release.

And that would be for two reasons.

a. another edition will be released within a year... classic ridley scott

b. they don't want the extra footage with engineer development made public because they want to save those plot lines/ story points for the sequel.

I am fine with either, i would just be nice for them to put a release out stating what will occur so people don't waste their money on an inevitable double dip.

here are some menu grabs i found from the dvd release-

It's obvious that there's only 10 minutes on the DVD because the studio want to promote incentive to upgrade to BD.

BBFC already rated the 34 minutes of deleted scenes for the Blu-ray. So it's not a question, they will all be on there.

Obviously the DVD version will have less extras. What was the guy you responded to thinking?

What are the chances that the 3D Combo will drop below $29.99 prior to release? I want to know if I should cancel my FoxConnect order.

In my opinion, these will be the prices in stores during release week:

DVD - 16.99
2D Blu-ray Combo - 22.99
3D Blu-ray Combo - 27.99

ditto x1000000000000000000

If we get an exclusive, what kind do you want? Steelbook, digipack/digibook, bonus disc, slipcase/slipcover with alternate artwork, bonus booklet or all of the above

Here's the front and back cover of the Swedish 3D Collector's Edition (courtesy of this site). I think any of we remaining optimists will have to let go of the hope of an extended cut - but it's still going to be one hell of a package.
