I would be getting this if there was a director or extended cut that made the film less stupid. I would rather watch Alien 3 and Alien Whateveritiscalled again.

Yeah I love that cover the most. I'm so confused at why certain countries are getting this cover and others aren't! If it were just one country then I would understand, but it seems like there are at least 2 different places getting this cover.

Given that Canada is getting that design, I really think we are too. As you can see, the cover that this site has as the US cover is actually the Swedish cover (note the 1080p & DTS-HD logos in the corners).

Anybody can add cover art so it is probably just a user error.

My copy of Kingdom of Heaven, another Ridley Scott film from Fox, has the 1080p and a similar "HD Master Audio" logos on the bottom though.

Well, yeah, they used them on US BDs way back then (just like Universal used to use the "Perfect Hi-Def Movie Experience" banner) - but not in the years since.

The Canadian versions with those cover arts don't say exclusives. Therefore, it should be the same in US. So, we shall receive same cover arts. Though futureshop has taken down the cover arts.

Well I'm still holding out hope for some type of SE or offer through Amazon, Best Buy or even Target (USA). Just look at Snow White and what offers or SE's popped up on it from Target and Best Buy down the stretch. Then Best Buy offered the Steelbook case for the Avengers while Target offered the booklet. So we still have a bit of time something might pop up.

UK wont be getting a extended cut. The BBFC classified both the 2D and 3D versions and they are theatrical cuts.

Now I wish I did not order the UK steelbook as I love the Canadian cover!

Slovak/ Czech distribution company just posted new info about our releases, so we are getting:

- DVD
- 2D Blu-Ray
- 3D Blu-Ray + 2D Blu-Ray + Bonus Disc
- 3D Blu-Ray + 2D Blu-Ray + Bonus Disc + Booklet (Limited Edition)
- Prometheus to Alien: The Evolution Box Set

(cannot post a link because I always get a message that my message needs to be aproved by admin)

I don't know but it sound pretty good to me to be true

Looks like booklet is only in that region as there are only 3 pre orders in the US and UK.

Don't feel like going through 60+ pages in this thread, perhaps someone can offer up an update on if this will most likely be the definitive release for Prometheus or will we see yet another "Director's Extended Edition" type of release in about six months to a year? I for one can hold off if another release is going to happen, but if Scott is adding his director's cut take on this upcoming release along with extras, I can't imagine another release coming out.

Thoughts?
