I'm not sure if this was posted yet. Probably the same 15 min. of deleted scenes from the 18 Sept. release: http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/599...-you-still-can

Edit: Fox had dreadcentral remove the video of 15 minutes of deleted scenes. I watched it and I think the film would have been better, had the scenes been included. Makes me think we will eventually see an extended cut. The scenes answer several questions and would have improved the continuity. In one of the many video interviews with Ridley Scott, he implied that the film was edited to 2 hr 4 m to allow for more showings per theater. So, Ridley the businessman trumped Ridley the artist. Appproaching $400 Mil worldwide; so, in hindsight, a good decision.

I believe these are the 15+ min that were in the video:

* SKIN [0:42]
* DAVID’S OBJECTIVE [0:23]
* JANEK FILLS VICKERS IN [3:27]
* A KING HAS HIS REIGN [3:40]
* THE ENGINEER SPEAKS [4:06]
* FINAL BATTLE [5:30]

EDIT: I don't know the original aspect ratio, but wanting it altered in any way to fit a TV is a big no no.
I never said that. I don't even know what the original aspect ratio for the film is. Some people have mentioned on other forums that foreign releases of this film will NOT be getting a 2.40:1 aspect ratio but instead another (I think it was 1.78:1) That's why I'm asking on here to confirm it. I wouldn't want an altered film in any which way either believe me. I'm just asking a question if the 2.40:1 is the official aspect ratio for this bluray release for US.

If you don't like 2.40 just push the stretch button on your tv.

I watched these a few nights ago and thought "Janek Fills Vickers In" was my fav. It reminded me of the conversation between Ripley and Dr. Clemens from Alien3 before the Doc got yacked.

-_-

You mean the "zoom" button. And that's a bad idea. Why would I do that with parts of the images missing on the screen? Plus you can't even use those features when playing a 3D bluray.

Three weeks away and we still don't have a solid list of features?

Or do we?

Of course there is. Damn Microsoft. If they aren't buying off developers with timed exclusivity with games etc, it's movies. Anything to get people to stay with their console.

Definitely not worth a resub of Xbox Live Gold, especially with the pure worthlessness of ESPN3 and all of its blackouts, but that's another story.

Still no official press release, I think they mean.

We still don't know for sure if the 2D version includes all of the extras...

I wasn't at all shocked when it was August and we still had no official info on the releases, but now we are only 2 1/2 weeks away. Seems odd, because I don't remember official announcements ever taking this long.
