Is there some kind of Wal-Mart pre-release or something going on? When I was there last week trying to get the new releases I wanted they weren't even stocked. I was looking at the stickers and one said "PROMETHUSPREODR" or something like that. I tried to stay for a while to see if they put them out, but they didn't.

I do find it very odd that Fox has not announced officially yet the details on this considering, i imagine, the discs are already printed at this point and being boxed up to be shipped out. Yes a longer cut with scenes that could fill in loop holes or people's questions would be nice but i myself was very happy with the film. I just hope for an amazing set with reference PQ and AQ , top notch extras and great 3D ( for when i eventually get a 3D TV).

I'm amazed that Fox hasn't given joblo grief for this yet.

As far as extras are concerned, with the BBFC listings posted earlier in this thread, we have a fair idea of what might be included. The French listings, also posted several times in this thread, indicate that at least some, if not all, of the extras included on the bonus disk are included with a seperate app listed on the 2D disc.

I hope we get all 34+ minutes of the BBFC listed deleted/extended scenes in the 4 disc 3D pk. and not just the 14+ minutes available with the download. I would like to see the Arrival of the Engineers and Paradise.

Amazon Canada has he 3D Bluray combo pack on sale for 24.99 pre-order right now. Even with shipping & taxes, works out to be $30. Don't think you can find it cheaper anywhere. The regular Blu is 30 BEFORE taxes. Price will likely go up soon. Thought you'd like to know.

Well if canadas 3D combo pack went down to $24.99,i find it very hard to believe that the US one wouldn't be that price somewhere come release day. Oh, and according to best buys employee entertainment newsletter on the prometheus launch, there is no best buy exclusive packaging or bonus discs...just the early downloadable cinemanow copy upon preorder.

Unusual for the Canadian price to be lower; it is likely that the US Amazon price will drop at some point as well?

It has happend before a movie release on Thursday and some were released on saturday or even on monday.
