If it's the one in the case, you pay for the digital download and I believe that price comes off the price of the blu ($14.99 I think)

I know everyone has 10/9 as the date and I'm sure it is. But has Fox officially provided the press release yet?

Not exactly. There will be extras with both versions on the 2D film disc included in both sets. But the 3D version will have an extra Blu-ray disc with some additional extras exclusive to it. Nobody knows yet at this point what those exclusives will be, but it seems almost certain the deleted scenes will be in both sets on the 2D disc.

LOL. Dude that is not the blu-ray of the movie. That is just the pre-oder pack. You buy that to pre-order your copy. That package just contains a code to get the VUDU copy, just like Best Buy is giving Cinemanow copy with Pre-order. The package does not contain any disc. So do not buy it unless you want to pre-order it. Infact read the back of that and it will tell you that you cannot get the real copy of the movie on blu-ray until 10/11. The date has changed to 10/09 though.

Do not trust that website. They never give any accurate information. Some of the movies even have wrong release dates.

Not really. 24.96 for 2D. If you want 3D, they will make you pay the difference when you go pick it up. Because 3D will be more. Besides the card has the picture of 2D edition.

I'm probably gonna go with Best Buy. Amazon isn't budging on the 4-disk set, and I've got a little Rewards cash I can use at BB.

Apparently, over in the UK thread - it's being discussed that magazines like Empire and Total Film either don't know about or aren't allowed to post about the extras on this set in their reviews.

wtf is going on FOX? What's with all the secrets?!!

It sounds like they can't talk about them because they just don't know. The member who has UK copies is the only person with the answers right now.

Over in the UK thread it also sound like they found out some type of announcement will be coming this Friday.
