The bonus disc will be a regular 2D blu-ray but like some Disney titles it seems Fox has chosen to include the bonus disc only with the 3D release, I have no need for 3D so will just sell that disc and keep the 2D film and bonus disc, will probably end up cheaper than buying just the 2D release.

Weird marketing indeed... Especially since in Canada, on Amazon, the 4-disc set is 5$ cheaper than the normal set... Go figure!

what the hell happened to the Director's Cut?...I was really looking forward to that versus a separate Deleted Scenes section...will everything that was supposed to be in the Extended cut be part of the deleted scenes?

A director's cut was never officially announced. Alot of speculation was going around in the beginning because alot of Ridley's films get Directors Cuts when released to video. Now that's not to say they may release one further down the road but he seems fairly happy with this cut.

For some reason it seems that a lot of people want/expect a directors cut of these summer block busters. For example Avengers, Prometheus, Dark Knight Rises. Not sure why everyone expects one. Maybe what we see on screen is actually a directors cut and the scenes that are included as deleted are removed for a reason.
