All are excellent movies, and I'm sure a few of those will be re-released in 4k. I would love to see these:

1) Kingdom of Heaven
2) LOTR extended

unfortunately #2 was almost all shot in 2K and #3 was entirely 2K
only TPM could get anything close to a true 4k release (but I'd certainly love that)

I do wonder why they don't have TFA or Rogue One out on 4k yet.

It would be nice to get 4-6 too, but I think they are maybe waiting for 7-9 to finish first.

Lots of stuff is puzzling though they have 4k masters already for so much stuff like Edward Scissorhands, The Sound Of Music, Lawrence Of Arabia (supposedly this one has been announced though), The Princess Bride, I believe West Side Story and South Pacific, Beetlejuice, The Force Awakens, Rogue One, Titanic and more and yet they are dumping all these 2K DI on us with stickers proclaiming 4x sharper than the blu-ray.... hmmm. Heck they even have 4k 3D masters for a few of these like the Star Wars and Titanic ones.

Phantom Menace was shot on film (mostly) but hardly a frame of that movie doesn't have some sort of VFX so its highest quality final form exists as 2K digital files, basically it's in the exact same position as the other two prequels and an entire generation of 2K DI finished films that followed it. They could scan a filmout neg of those digital files but as you'd be adding some slight degree of entropy it makes sense to just use the 2K files, which is exactly what they did on the 3D conversion.

Yeah, but most were from Sony. I'll bet cash money that Aquadude was finished in 2K.

Amazing movies! 2018 have some great releases: Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, Die Hard, Predator, Rambo trilogy, Groundhog Day, Air Force One, The Matrix. Cliffhanger and Black Hawk Down are comming up
Hope next year come out some of these: The Great Escape, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Patton, Jaws, Star Wars Trilogy, Thief, Scarface, The Last of the Mohicans, Tombstone, Heat, True Lies...
