Yes they're actually made for dvd's but I tried g2 plastics and it was a pain in the ass. They end up ripping since there wasn't enough wiggle room

I just use the Shop4tech polybags, and no one touches them

I trim the bags to about 1/8 of an inch from the glue strip and they fit prefectly.

Think its enough.

Considering buying these:

Code:
http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Standard-14mm-Case-Wrap/dp/B004BLYJ6A/ref=pd_cp_e_0
Look like the same ones sold by shop4tech for way less.

Here's another one from Amazon for slightly more:

Code:
http://www.amazon.com/Americopy-Plastic-Standard-14mm-Case/dp/B002ROE2Y2/ref=pd_cp_e_0

I ordered 300 bags from shop4tech a few years ago and was pleased with the bags. I ordered some more about 6 months ago but this shipment felt cheaper/thinner. Has anyone here noticed this? The ones I received 6 months ago from shop4tech were identical to the picture on the Amazon link.

I just got some 100 sleeves for £5 off ebay and although thin i think for the most part they'll help deter any scrataching etc from moving the steelbooks which was my main concern. If i didn't want them dented, i need to now find a place to put them where they can't get dented in.

The seal easily goes over the back and it looks a pretty snug fit with only the top corners sticking out a little which isn't much worry either.

I wish there was a sleeve like the ones protected.de sells but with just the top or side opened. I think they're perfect, just like adding a slipcase.

No plastic bag can prepare you for the horror, of coming home from work, and seeing your 2 year old, running round with a steelbook.

No it can't. First your a bit like

Then the inevitable fall may come and the turns which upon inspection of the items goes

But when its all safe and sound back in your hands without issue you may be a bit assuming they made the whole thing worryingly funny

But i have no two year olds and all my siblings are grown up and nobody is allowed in my room where i keep everything.

I use plastic resealable bags, got around 30 for 2 pounds I think from eBay. Very happy with them, my fiancee HATES them and refuses to have her two steelbooks in them haha! I kind of justify it with the same logic of having most of my vinyl in plastic sleeves though they're more collectible and susceptible to damage etc. Dust collects very quickly in my room so if anything its just to combat that and also scratching when pulling off the shelf I guess. They still look great to me and I like the feel also, makes them feel more special and collectible but I totally get people who don't think its necessary. Different strokes. I also have all my Sony Collectors Edition slips in sleeves, but have left my other slip series like the Reel Heroes and Universal 100th series

Do the bags from Shop4tech have the resealable glue on the flap or on the body of the bag? I'm looking for some that have the resealable glue on the flap. It's just a personal preference but I hate using scotch tape. The ones I just got from Amazon have the glue on the body and it is far above the steelbook once I slip one in.

Just curious but what are the point of these other than preventing tiny scratches?

Because I don't have any sleeves on the few Steelbooks I have and they look fine. I just don't see a point in them.

Paranoia and variables outside ones control (kids/pets/stacking as the only means of storage).

Hmm, I see. Kinda makes sense. I guess the only reason I would buy any is if I were moving and didn't want them to get scratched. I'm fine with how they are until then though.

I use these Alex, as do lots of other collectors:

http://www.shop4tech.com/item1674.html

Sign up for their newsletter
They have __%-off sales about every other week or so
They're made for DVDs, but you need that extra width for SteelBooks
Anywho, they fit Blu-ray SteelBooks just right
I use little Velcro coins on the backs to seal them
They have reuseable adhesive strips on the back, but the strips won't work unless you put taller DVD cases in them (G-1s)
They're an excellent choice though
Only $.08 each, even if you don't have a promo code to use...
