I really want to get some sleeves to protect my steels, but being in Australia there aren't many options. If I'm going to fork out $17US for some plastic it'd be good to know if they're decent (ie look nice, fit well).

Alternatively, has anyone seen any other options for international buyers. I'm aware of the UK Mirror sleeves, but can't find any info on how thick they are (eg 120 microns) and no-one seems to ship them internationally.

Any help would be much appreciated!
I do believe that they are the same. Mine came in packaging just like that.

Mind you they are more expensive than the bluraysteelbook.com ones.

Reason why I like these better over the other poly sleeves is:

a) actual blu-ray sized and not dvd-sized so no cutting etc. is needed to make the sleeve fit properly.
b) thicker plastic means a bit better protection.
c) other poly sleeves caused creases on the factory shrinkwrap on some steelbooks (these ones don't)
d)wide enough so that steelbooks with slipcovers can also fit (this sleeve is a bit more 'stretchable' than the b-steelbooks.com one.
Thanks bigjee and everyone else for the responses. bigjee, do you happen to have any pics of those sleeves on one of your steelbooks?

No, just fold the top of the sleeve to the back of the steel and use a piece of tape to seal it.

Took a couple of days to arrive. They are a good fit and are decent quality.I wonder if any companies will bother to make one for blu-rays.

that may be where the trade-off is : shipping cost. i believe the auction used to say free shipping but i don't know if that applies to international bidders. now shipping is 5,95. i was previously planning on buying 3 packs at 10,50 each but now they are 6,50 each so i bought 4. that's less than $45 USD so about $1 per sleeve. i think that's a good deal for something so hard to find.

when i did paypal checkout, i had to enter the shipping cost in myself so i hope the seller doesn't ask for more money since i'm international.

Some comments from me on these "sleeves".

I have ordered 30 of those in the past and can say, that they fit very well to Blu Ray Steelbooks. In the past there were some offers on Ebay, but these were DVD sized and not Blu Ray sized, so with the sleeves from Protected you can be safe that they fit.

On the other hand, be aware that the sleeve is open on the top and bottom, so moving the Steels pretty frequently in your cupboard does not protect it from scratches there.

to order these, do you have to sign up through ebay germany? I can't read German and wouldn't know how to communicate with the seller about shipping costs, etc...any tips?
