FYI, Steelbook Central should finally be restocking this weekend per their Twitter: https://twitter.com/SteelbookC

Looks like new size options as well!

FYI, the one downside to the sleeves I discussed previously is that for the Lionsgate 4K steelbook releases with their own slips, these cases are a very tight fit. They work, but you have to be careful.

I'm leaning towards SCF1 as a one-size-fits-all for most of the collection still. Hopefully I can get a decent amount of those ordered soon.

I still can't work out exactly the difference between SC2 and SC5

I think I'll stick with the former as not only are they cheaper, but they aren't as thick and I don't really want to lose anymore shelf space than I am already by moving them out of the bags. I also have 250 I'd bought previously so I'd rather they were all the same

I've temporarily put steelbooks in unsealed bags but I need them for regular Blu-rays. I'll order 500 and then that should be enough for the Studio Ghibli, Marvel, DC, HMV Japanese Artwork and some others. I will eventually swap them all over but that should cover me for the main ones

As I mentioned I lose the space for about three steelbooks on each row of the shelves, but they look so much neater

I have just ordered 500 of the SC2

Has anyone noticed something weird with reward points? Let's just say what it said I had isn't what I know I have. It let me use them though. I'm not sure if it will get picked up or not

I do need to order some DVD, jumbo DVD and jumbo Blu-ray ones at some point as well as some more SC2

Got my order in for 200 SC7 Slipcovers. First time ordering. Was kinda surprised shipping was almost as much as the covers themselves.

Yeah seems a bit of a deal breaker for me now. £38.49/$52 for 100 SCF 1 is a really good price but shipping these international 2-3 day speed is a bit unnecessary, there are slower methods. The shipping came out £33.99/$46 for me for just 100 of them. A 1-2 week mailing speed option would be fine.

Do a review on them here when you get them, curious how well they fit like the mondo ones. Too loose or too tight could make them difficult to use

So I now see these are available to purchase on steelbook central. I have never used "Worldpay" before in my life. Can any of you confirm it is safe to use? I would much rather use paypal but it doesn't give me that option unless I go thru ebay but going thru ebay the cost is more for whatever reason.

These examples are for a 100 of the SC2

Ebay - $101.74 shipped
Steelbook Central website - $86.94

SC3 and others are back in stock. I just ordered and used world pay. I have used world pay before and it worked out fine. Yes, shipping is high, but don't know anyone else who has the open spine sc3.

I already use the SC2. They are snug without being overtight

They even fit steelbooks with lenticular magnets. I'm going to be busy transferring a lot of steelbooks over. I was happy enough with bags but I prefer the look of these

The only issue I can see with these are that they can get light scratches on the plastic, but I suppose if you're not constantly sliding them around, it shouldn't be a problem

Finally looking to put in a new order for some protectors and I have a question about the size for one of my steels-- the Blufans Avengers Infinity War Double Lenti. It seems bigger than SCF4 (it's a few mm deeper than say GOG dbl lenti, I think). Has anyone bought a cover for this one and can recommend the best size?

It's all good. I have been ordering from them for 5+ years.
I usually buy once (or twice) a year in bulk to save on shipping.

So now they've been despatched, I'll say what happened to my order I placed yesterday

I had previously bought 250 SC2 slipcovers a while back and wanted some more but due to a couple of expensive months and them being out of stock, I've had to wait

I was glad to see they were coming back into stock and was checking regularly as there would no doubt be a demand and I don't know what quantities they had got in

I decided to order 500. I didn't really want to spend over £150 as I'd just had to buy a new phone but I am swapping over from bags, and while I need a lot more than 500, this will at least enable me to swap over a good chunk. I keep my regular Blu-rays in bags and I'm running low of those so I can reuse the bags and don't have to buy anymore of those

I've had an account with Steelbook Central for a while and have bought quite a lot from them. For anyone who is member, you know you get reward points. I think it's one point per pound spent. I tend to build them up and then when I've got enough for a couple of quid, I'll cash them in

So what confused me yesterday was when I went to pay, it said I had reward points, but rather than have a few, it said I had 8896 of them. That works out as £88.96

I haven't done the maths to work out what you would need to spend to earn that many, but let's just say it's a lot. I was expecting it just to be a glitch as I don't think I've ever earned that many points in the whole time I've been using them

When I went to pay, the money was taken off and so I only ended up spending about £80. I was also expecting them to realise that there may have been an error and cancel the order, but it's been despatched

I don't know if I'd logged on later, whether that would have happened, or if it happened to anyone else. I knew I had to redeem them then as they could've just disappeared and I'm not going to say no to saving nearly £90. My reward points were then showing as zero and they've added on the ones for what I earned yesterday

Steelbook Central are no longer taking orders until they can fulfil all existing orders. Is there anywhere else to purchase the SC2 at around this price point?

SC7 Slipcovers arrived today and they’re excellent. Exactly what I wanted. Glad I waited for theses as the fully enclosed covers have never really appealed to me. I guess if I never watched the film again they’d be fine but they’re such a pain in the ass getting opened/closed. I always feel like I’m going to damage them. So yeah, Slipcovers are the way to go for me. Easy access and protection where it counts.

On a side note.. I’ve never quite understood how some collectors mange to get their steels so scratched up. Been collecting for a long time now and none of mine are scratched unless they arrived that way. Granted I am very careful and I’m the only one who handles my collection. I guess my reasoning for the slips stem from a fear of eventual scratches and to minimize fingerprints on the glossy steels.

Sounds like you are the first one to receive the SC7, do a post comparing them to the mondo/PET factory slips when you can.
