Anyone else would just be a reseller I think. You will probably be alright as long as you don't buy a lot, that seems to be here the trouble happens.

You can order them from eBay, if you don't mind paying more per sleeve or don't need that many. My first order of 25 (bought from eBay) came in with no issue, and you have eBay's buyer protection. Our bulk orders of 540-800 are the ones with the most issues, but we are ordering that many just so they will be the cheapest per sleeve.

Can I ask you something:
Do they fit steelbooks with cardboard J-cards?
Like eg. the Nightmare Before Christmas Zavvi steelbook?

I recommend the poly bags from Bags Unlimited link, since they're made to the size of a G2 steelbook case, so you don't have to modify them at all. These have an adhesive resealable strip on body side (not the flap). They'll work with J-cards and standard slipcases too, but are a little snug on some releases. I always put the J-card in first so the SB slides in easily. If you order, get the mil size as shown on the link. They sell a thinner version, but for some reason, I believe people have been having problems with their fit.

Anyone know if there are bags, or even better, slips, that would fit something like the Plain Archive full slip editions or the Kimchi Amelie Full Slip and the Leon Slip edition?

Thanks for the help!

Kimchi sells steelbook sleeves that fit sealed slipped steels.

With regards to those steel shells, does anyone know the difference on his eBay store? He has two different 12 packs, 25 packs, etc and they're each a different price. From what I can tell, they're the same, unless I'm missing something.

Does anyone know if I can get the steel book sleeves with the spine and opening exposed in the states or do I have to order from blu steels or steel book central?

I went ahead and purchased 25 shells from SteelShells. Hopefully I don't have long wait periods or nightmares of bad customer service like some of you.

So I got the steel shells in the mail today. They're really sleek and nice looking and only leave the spines of the steelbook unprotected as they sit on your shelf. Only downside is having to put them together as they all come shipped flat. Not a huge deal though. All you have to do is make some folds and fold in some flaps. Here's how they look covering a steel, halfway off, and with all my steels on the shelf.

Just knowing they're protected now instead of jammed up against each other potentially getting scratched makes me feel better.
