Will the proxy change work with the Firefox android app? I've tried adding anonymox as an add on, but it doesn't show up after it says it downloaded. I can't even find it under the downloaded add on section.

Had the same issue earlier. After trying different add-ons with different browsers, I downloaded Cloud VPN from Google play on my phone. It worked for me. Weird since I didn't have issues on PC before.

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering: are you still using this method, and, if so, does your above quoted post mean that by sending an email to flixster you can get access to the movie through vudu and stream from, say, a smart TV app here in the US and without the proxy server? I know I'm late to the party so I appreciate any help I can get.

Tried to do the Fast and the Furious collection on Flixster. Firefox with anonymox doesn't work. Chrome with Hola doesn't work.

I got these codes ready to use and if I had known that these methods are outdated then I would never have gotten the Blu's. >_<

Oh, well. Getting the Blu's for around $3/each for all 7 movies isn't a bad deal at all. If I can get the UV codes to work, then it'd be worth it more.

AnonymoX (masquerading as UK) is not sufficient to register a UK code for Kubo and the Two Strings. FlixsterVideo doesn't recognize the code at all; UltraVioletUniversal rejects the code as UK+Ireland even though AnonymoX shows my IP address as UK.

This same technique did work correctly for Suicide Squad, though.

I had the exact same results for both discs. Was really disappointed about Kubo.

Thanks, I was having the same problem for the witch, but this guidance helped. I contacted flixster and they created another alid version and now I can get it in VUDU as well.

Flixster has discontinued UV redemption in the United States; however the continue to operate in Canada and the United Kingdom so for now with certain titles you can use a proxy to redeem a code from Canadian\UK\etc release in it's native region and it will port to your US account.

It's unclear when (or even if?) changes will be made that removed Flixster UV redemption in other countries or impact this process but I can confirm I redeemed The Mummy US code with a Canadian proxy earlier this month and it ported fine.

Using Hola in Chrome with country set to UK sends me to a page that says "the Flixster Video US service no longer provides code redemption". It appears to now be impossible to access the UK video.flixster.com from the US via Hola, assuming the UK Flixster still redeems codes.

I was able to get anonymox on Firefox to work. Redeemed a few UK codes on Flixster. They show up in my ultraviolet account but have not ported over to Vudu.

I did exactly the same with Valerian, with the same results. Valerian seems to have a different distributor in the UK, so I assume I might only be able to watch it when I'm in Europe.

The movie DID appear in my FandangoNow account, but gives the message "content unavailable", and so will not play.

It works fine for me still. But Hola is far from perfect. It is a pita for a lot of people. Best option would be to get a free VPN app on your smartphone and redeem from there. Can still be a pita though. You can also redeem UK codes at Talk Talk until they close down in 2018.

Question, does anyone know how to redeem UK google play movies in US? I tried using hola the free VPN, but it's saying that google play isn't available with hola.
