That is simply not true, or at least a difference of opinion. Forster did an excellent job with directing Quantum of Solace. The quick cuts helped to make it a thrilling ride for the duration of the run time. From the first frame to the last, Quantum of Solace is an exciting piece of cinema. I doubt it'll happens, but I hope Forster comes back to direct another Bond movie in the future. Although having said that, you do bring up an intriguing point. I'd also like to see Michael Bay tackle this franchise. He'd make a hell of a Bond film as well.

Normally, I would completely agree with you. I'm a fan of the shaky cam and quick cuts myself. I loved all the Bourne movies and Cloverfield (saw them all at the theater) so all the complaints about Quantum's edit style shouldn't have bothered me. However, it wasn't the case. Especially during the boat chase 40 mins into the movie. I was like, what the hell am I looking at. I tried so hard to make out what I was seeing but it was difficult and left a sour taste in my mouth and ultimately took away from enjoying the movie more. In the end, Quantum was a great Bond film and doesn't deserve all this trash talk about it. I found that after repeat viewings the edit's didn't bother me as much and I bet that could be another reason for it's lack of legs at the BO. I of course picked it up because the pros outweigh the cons.That was my only complaint though.

Also, as far as Michael Bay taking on this franchise.... Don't think that's going to happen. I love Michael Bay for what he is, he delivers the goods when it comes to explosions and action but he hasn't shown he can make a great character driven dialogue heavy film. That's what made Casino Royale such a great movie, it wasn't all about action. I'm sure there are plenty of people who agree with me on that. That's just my two cents anyways.

I don't care what the critics say...this is a must-own in your blu-ray collection.

Bond movie, great PQ, great AQ...no-brainer for me. Love Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Just got back from Best Buy. I had some GC balances left, so only paid $1.75 for Quantum of Solace. BTW, mine came with a $5 coupon. From another QoS thread, I learned that some cases are eco-friendly with recycling logo cutouts in the case. It is true that some of the QoS cases at BB were a little flimsier than others, so I picked up one that was sturdier. Sure enough, it was a regular BD case. Maybe regular sturdy BD cases are the ones that come with coupons. I do believe in saving the environment, but not when it comes to BD cases.

Just got through watching it for the 1st time. I don't get what all the negative fuss is about. I mean I suppose the action was slightly too quick cutting so to speak. But I was still able to make everything out. The way some people may it seem like you can't even tell what is going on is beyond me. Anyway imo, top notch movie & awesome follow up to CR.

On another note I read there was a cut of the film where James kills Mr. White which didn't make the final cut. I really hope either he's in the next installment or maybe they might release an extended cut w/ it. Either way they need some kind of conclusion to his story.

I just got in from Best Buy and no coupon in the case.I think this is because if you by another Bond title you get an instant 10.00 off at the register.
I ended up paying 15.99 for QOS and 19.99 for Casino Royal also picked up Bolt with the 10.00 off Mfg coupon...
So in all it was a good day today at Best buy

Just like to mention almost everyone in line had a copy of QOS blu-ray in there hand.

best buy ad states digital copy but its not included the movie. Was it pulled from the movie set? sucks... I, for one, like digital copies.. and I do hate this new case..lol oh well, I have backup amaray cases.

Mine had that Recycle logo cut out, and some other cut out

Someone help me out here. I remember a preview or something before QOS in the theatre where Daniel Craig is standing on like a roof top or something and there is an explosion behind him in slow motion and things are flying by him as stuff… Am I crazy or has anyone else seen this? I’m trying to remember if it was a preview or what the heck it was.. I’m going crazy!!!!
