RDODOLAK:

Thanks. That's what I figured. I'll take my chances and pre-order it along with the Blu-ray FIRST MEN IN THE MOON when they're available. I'm still on the fence about getting ZARDOZ.

In case anyone didn't see it, I posted this poll here that I thought it would be interesting to see the general tendency of the public:

Which TT OOP title, you'd like most to be re-released?

I thought it was usually $100 right? I guess bc its OOP. I would love to have the Blob signed but without Feb pre-orders theres no way I could hit $150

You think so? Even with them upping the order amount to $150 plus tax/shipping?

e: side note - looks like they got the date wrong, they probably meant Weds the 14th.

From the way SAE posted about the Blob promo, it makes it sound like $150 is going to be the norm going forward on these signings:

"January 12, 2015 - Twilight Time next signing promotion to take place on Wednesday, 14th Jan at 4 pm EST.
This is the 100 copies of THE BLOB signed by director Chuck Russell, which will be our first at the new $150 purchase rate of TT product to qualify for the free autographed copy."

I don't need a signed copy of it, but that 150 thing is nuts. Kind of a rip.

Well according to S.A.E's Home Page this doesn't sound like it's a one time deal, it sounds like this will be their future price, Here is their statement: This is the 100 copies of THE BLOB signed by director Chuck Russell, which will be our first at the new $150 purchase rate of TT product to qualify for the free autographed copy.
Notice they say this will be our "first" at the "new" $150 purchase rate, now they want You to purchase 6 instead of 4! To say the least I'm NOT IMPRESSED!!!
I find it hard enough to wait and save 4 for the promo let alone 6!

Well the Blob doesn't butter my parsnips so The $150 limit is neither here or there.

It may well be a typo though just as the date/day error.

I'll hold off ordering my 4 titles until one of them get lower in stock.

In the meantime I'll keep an ear out for any region B releases of these coming to light

EDIT: Ah! Not a typo then hey ho never mind

That dollar amount seems rough because it is pre shipping cost so that means buying 5x 29.99 = 149.95 so you would have to buy 6 (29.99) Blus to qualify

Six is a little extreme. That actually makes the "real" limit at $180.00 instead of $120.00.

I could see 5 at $149.75 and that should be close enough to $150.00. I would gladly donate the $.25 to get it to $150.00.

I think this may encourage more people to simply wait for a sale (or get close to a sellout) before they purchase titles accumulating in their cart or wish list, rather than encourage people to purchase marginal movies in order to qualify for a signed freebie.

Probably going to sit this one out even though Chuck Russell would be cool to get. I already own the Blob so I'd prefer to get a title I don't have. The higher limit definitely played a part though, at 4 titles I probably would have went for it.

It probably will go fast since it is an OOP horror title but it'll be interesting if it doesn't and they step back from the $150 limit in the future.

I would love to get the Blob, but not spend $150 for it.
(if the March-April releases were out, I would)

That'll be the end of autographed promos for me. It was already a bit much for me to justify. Guess these deals are for the elite.

I'm not interested either but for that price, I'd like a certificate of authenticity of some sort.

You could pick up one of the $34.95 titles. That would put your order at $154.75. I can highly recommend Bell, Book and Candle. Me, there are a couple of the February titles I'm interested in, so I'll likely wait until the pre-order date for my next order.

Too bad they couldn't do something like an autographed copy when reaching the "new" $150 limit and keep it it at the old $100 limit for an un-autographed copy.

Thanks for the tip but I think I already have all the $34.95 titles I want (I do have Bell, Book and Candle and enjoyed it and the transfer as well ).

Looks like this will be the first signed promo that I will not get.

There aren't many titles left that I don't have, and can't justify a 50% increase in the purchase requirement.
