Ugh, now all the retailers seem to be out of it, except ones that are charging $40+.
It is that OOP thread. It has jacked up the price for a lot of OOP stuff to Christine type levels (for some titles). I am pretty sure many resellers frequent it. Jason and the Argonauts has been OOP for a while but copies were still fairly available about a month and a half ago at some places. I kept foolishly putting off buying it, waiting for it to drop back to $10 (like two years ago). I remember seeing it still available at $20 from Amazon like a month or so ago. I was luckily able to purchase my “like new” used copy in December on Amazon for $13+4SH.

click on “third party used” and do a 1 month date range zoom to see the spike on the graph around the same day the OOP thread was started "Feb 13".

Interesting. I didn't think it would have that much effect. Probably just a temporary overreaction on both buyer and seller and the prices will revert to "normal" levels soon.

I was like that when it came to picking up rare HD DVD titles. Didn't post anything until I got my copy.

Thanks for the info. I'm considering it, but a little dismayed that it's a used copy that's only in Good condition. I may press my luck that the price will come down once the hoopla over its going out of print dies down.

I got it last March from a third party fulfilled by Amazon for 10.78. I just got lucky. It's a big upgrade from the DVD.

I had the Blu-ray JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS on my Amazon wish list for a long time. I lucked out and got it for only $7.99 delivered.

I expected this. Guess I'll have to think about getting in and selling my sealed copy.

Also curious about what the sales numbers are so far from Journey and First Men and whether they will last until the next signed promo.

Another promo for me to skip since I've already got it and I'm fine with not having his signature. Fortunately, I own all the low inventory titles that I want so nothing is going to disappear from my wishlist.

UGH. Giving two exams and a quiz on Wednesday. I'm so busy I know I won't be able to get back to my office to pick this up in time. Just one more thing to stress me out.

Hard to believe someone would pay that price when there is a region free release from Europe that can be had for under $20 with shipping. Some people just don't comparison shop.

And you can sell THAT one on Ebay to cover the costs of the five titles you'll be ordering.
