If you DO NOT want backorders holding your order please click the “NO BACKORDERS” option before you finalize your order online. We will send what we have in immediate stock. You will need to reorder that missing CD on a future order.
Oh, I know all that. That was my point. By ordering a handful of sale titles along with a pre-order, I push off paying for those until mid-April, because they won't ship until the pre-order title is ready. The only thing that was "theoretical" was how soon a second order (with only sale titles) would ship. At any other time, an order of titles in stock would be processed and ship fairly quickly, but they'll be swamped by sale orders, so it might take a while.

Why did the Train sell out so fast? I didn't really enjoy it that much but still went to buy it and it is long gone.

It's worth ordering more than one disc at a time even if you're in the US, as the shipping cost is less for additional discs.

It's also worth noting that, as I understand it, the demarcation point for what shipping "container" they use is three discs. If you order only one or two, I believe they use a padded envelope; three or more gets a box. If you're concerned about possible damage by the Postal Gorillas, it's best to order at least three discs at a time.

One of the more popular WWII set films from the 60's. It has really good PQ and the dvd was out of print (and going for 60 bucks new) last Summer when the Twilight Time disc came out. Now looking at Amazon it looks like there is a dvd coming out from Kino in June.

War movies tend to be very popular, and I'm not surprised it sold out quick.

I would be interested in picking up some of their British releases like Rita Sue & Bob Too and the Ken Loach films but they did not include subtitles! For British films with heavy accents and the amount that TT charges, you would think having subtitles would be a no-brainer. Even during their yearly sale, I would not but them at half the price

When TT puts no effort into a release it is much more of slap in the face when they charge $29.95.

Coming from Arrow in the UK on May 11. I missed the TT also but I've pre-ordered this one.

I think Arrow releases are usually, if not always, Region B locked.

Yeah, if there's a release over here and the Arrow comes out second I think they're ALWAYS locked. If you have a panasonic player you can bypass it. I'm sure that release will be better than the TT one in terms of extras, so if you're region free (or have a panasonic) don't feel too bad about missing it. I'm contemplating selling my TT disc to get the Arrow, but might not bother since I mainly just wanted the movie and the TT disc looks great.

There's also a region free version from Resen in Spain. Yes, I know it's a bootleg, but it appears to be a pressed disc, not a BD-R. Let your conscience be your guide, etc.

When the Wind Blows seems to have gotten great reviews and ratings from many people. While I found the animation to be great, I was surprised by how bored I was by the movie itself.

How does the bypass with a panasonic player work? I've been thinking about buying a region free player, but I own a pansonic. Didn't know there was a way to play region free blus on it though

Finally got my March order: Journey to the Center of the Earth, First Men in the Moon, and U-Turn. I think I'll take Journey out for a spin...

Put the disc in and if it autoplays and gives you the warning, hit stop and then top menu once or twice. If you put the disc in and it kicks you back to the stop screen, just hit top menu once or twice. It works with almost everything, just be careful of 1080i/50hz stuff.

Thanks! I'll have to buy a few cheaper region B locked blus and try this out. There's a ton of locked blus i've been holding out on because i've never gotten around to getting a region free player

Not sure if anyone's noticed yet, but SAE has already changed a lot of the prices. I haven't tried checking out yet, though.

There's a dedicated thread here if you want to make sure about your discs. The only discs I've gotten which I couldn't bypass with my regular Panasonic were some Australian Hammer flicks.

EDIT: Checkout works with the discounts. Just got the 5 I wanted.

I went ahead and ordered the sales titles I wanted since they're already up as such. I decided not to order When the Wind Blows but instead ordered Bunny Lake is Missing. Bunny Lake has a really bad ending, but I love the B & W cinematography and the long takes.

Got my first order in of the three titles that were on the limited quantity list I had an interest in (Bell Book and Candle, Blue Max, and Picnic). Threw in Pal Joey also.

Will most likely make another order next week for five or six titles.

It would be great if we had a recent update of the low quantity titles...last one was over a month ago.

Maybe they're waiting until after this sale before they do that. I'm guessing most of the sales titles aren't close to selling out (except some of the 24.95 ones like Used Cars and The Blue Max), but maybe some titles will get to low quantity status if they are bought along with the sales titles.
