Got my other recent order today. I was rather surprised that Zardoz was in a clear case. Were the other April titles also in clear cases, or just this one?

I heard all releases moving forward will be in clear cases

I for one am thrilled with this move. To be honest all BLU's should be in clear cases. The blue cases were to have be different than a HD-DVD release anyhow.

All the April titles are in clear cases. TT has changed to clear cases from here on out.

So the latest signed blu is Prime of Miss Brodie. Can anybody explain how I add the signed copy to my cart? I read what they said but I guess I'm too dumb. After reaching the required dollar amount of TT titles to my cart, do I then add Miss Brodie to the cart? This of course increases the dollar amount in the checkout. How do I add the free signed copy to my cart?

If and when a signed copy goes up it's available on a specific day at 4PM Eastern. SAE adds a separate listing for $0 that you have to add to your order however quantities are very limited (usually ~100).

Finally my order that was placed on the 6th has shipped now. According to the site it was shipped via first class mail and according to the USPS website it should take 1 to 3 business days to arrive. If I'm correct it should arrive this week. I'm just glad it finally shipped.

I'd like to think I'm a pretty patient person but it's getting pretty irksome waiting for my order from 3/25 to ship. Especially while others who ordered later than me are getting their Zardoz. I guess I should have wasted $20 (nothing even remotely appealed to me, so it would have been a waste) on a sale title so my order would actually ship this year.

First time where SAE has significantly dropped the ball in the almost 2 years ordering from them. You'd think they would prioritize better. Needed to vent something bad. Now watch it ship because that's how it works out (for me at least).

Why change after many years to clear only? They are not Criterion, nor even close to them, except for price. I assume it's the same Elite clear case they had on the FN 30th release? Thankfully they went back to a quality Elite case, especially since they used those junk cases after they changed from the blue Elite cases. I think that's 3 different cases their releases are now in. Man the OCD is going to boil over now for many...

I'm waiting on an order from 4/7 to ship as well. I didn't order any pre-order items, but I guess it got tied up in all the post-sale madness. Hopefully it doesn't take too much longer, as one of the items was intended as a gift.

It's almost like they're dangling the carrot, huh?

BTW, my order from 3/31 hasn't shipped yet. What can you do? The longer you wait, the more rewarding it should hopefully be.

Maybe it's the only way they can ensure they get non-eco cases.

That can't be it as plenty of other labels can get non-eco Viva Elite cases or any brand of case for that matter.

TT did say they were "taking the blu out of ray".

Instead they should maybe think about taking SAE out of the equation...

So are clear cases supposed to be more classy/elegant? I think they look kinda cheap, often wondered why top notch studios like Arrow and Criterion use them

Criterion isn't the only one to use the clear cases. Eureka, Arrow, Cohen, Drafthouse Films, etc. have all used the clear cases.

My guess is clear is neutral where as blue may clash with some artwork.

Personally I like the clear cases but I'm happy they're going away from the generic cases and back to the Viva Elites.
