my order from 4/3 hasn't shipped yet. My previous orders have though. Why couldn't they just combine them?

I just received my first ever blind buy Violent Saturday, turned out to be pretty watchable fun, and certainly some of the most vivid technicolor I have ever seen

I really enjoyed it, I thought it was a nice blend of noir and melodrama. The technicolor was great and the onsite locations in Bisbee, AZ really lent it a realistic feel. The only thing slightly off-key was Victor Mature. He always seems overdressed in anything more than a toga or a loincloth.

They never combine orders; I have asked them about this before.
I think it's mainly a software limitation; I believe they fill each order individually without knowledge of "other" orders by the same person. I know, it sounds pretty primitive, but I think that's the way it is.

I found a lot of the casting kinda quirky Ernie Borgnine as Amish, Noonan voyeur, Sylvia Sydney as a thief/librarian....that's part of what made it work I think

With all the posters complaining about slow shipments, do you really want the folks at SAE to take the time to sort through all the orders; verify that these three orders are actually being delivered to the same John Smith at the same address; recalculate the shipping cost and refund the difference; and then pack and ship the combined order? Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that would just magnify their workload and their problems ...

Looking at it from their perspective, I'm sure that SAE would have preferred that, rather than submitting several small orders during the sale, each customer had ordered everything they wanted all at once, thus reducing paperwork and processing on their end.

In all fairness, I suspect that we all contributed to the snafu that some of us are complaining about with such relish ...

Just a thought.

I know I am guilty of ordering like this. I ended up buying 18 titles during the sale on four different days. I thought each day that was it, but I couldn't stop seeing those blu ' s with that 19.99 price.

So I never emailed or complained to SAE because I knew there were many people doing what I did.

The orders get here when they get here. Every month is the same, people griping about their orders not being shipped and now with the recent sales and promos, it's only intensified. This is getting to be just as tedious as complaints about the TT business model. My order from the sale arrived on Monday, and as usual I was well pleased with the box, bubble wrap and packing peanuts used. My order of Zardoz just shipped yesterday. Being in Canada I'll be waiting about another two weeks for it to get here, but who cares, I've got about 1500 other blu-rays to choose from in the meantime.

Put this in the rumor category: Kino is releasing on DVD-only the films Support Your Local Sheriff (1969) and Support Your Local Gunfighter (1971). Usually their DVD-only titles are ones that TT has Blu-ray rights for. Seems like two logical upcoming releases - though I think TT would be better served by having them together on a double feature disc, similar to the Thunderbird films.

Just because they pack well and they are a mom an pop shop does not excuse what transpired. Nobody is wanting SAE to lose their contract, I am even for supporting them, I LIKE THEM! But it is unacceptable what happened plain and simple. I am glad that TT will address this in the future so we will not have this problem again. Please don't sugar coat the issue is all I am saying.

Just got a notification that my 4/7 order for A Candle for the Devil and Bell, Book, and Candle just shipped. I've been toying with the idea of ordering a couple more TT titles (Zardoz, Mindwarp, and The Believers), but haven't fully been convinced one way or the other yet...

It's not an excuse, it's an explanation. I am also glad that Twilight Time are going to address this, perhaps avoiding having pre-orders and signed promos at the same time as their anniversary sales would help. The point I was getting at though, is that this thread and those of other Twilight Time titles are cluttered EVERY SINGLE MONTH with people complaining about SAE's slow and seemlingly random shipping methods and it's getting pretty tiresome.

This past month has definitely been more of an exception rather than the norm but SAE has developed shipping delays as TT has become more popular. This shows that SAE does have an issue with dealing with a large amount of orders over a given period of time which should be addressed by SAE. SAE would need to add additional resources to deal with increased orders if this trend continues. But people have a valid concern especially if it takes a month or more just to fulfill an order simply due to manpower constraints. I'm sure this is affecting all of SAE's orders and not just the TT ones given they have fixed manpower.

It's one I was thinking about getting in the sale, but skipped it as I'm not that big a fan of the film although I like moments and the overall quirkiness of it. Still, gonna go get one now and pay $10 more than I could have paid a couple of weeks ago, but there's something about that cart trick (even just the last 50) that gets my collector juices flowing.

Actually, if that's the only item in your cart, it will cost you about &14 more, factoring in shipping costs. Sorry. I, too, was on the fence about Bye Bye Birdie, but I decided it's just not that essential for me, as luscious as Ann-Margret is in it. Lately, I've gone from being a collector to being a curator. Also, it's available on 1080p digitally if I ever change my mind.
