I placed an order for The Big Heat, Where the Sidewalk Ends, and Mysterious Island.

Mysterious Island was a last minute splurge. Hadn't planned to get it yet, but the last low quantity update said they had under 1000 copies of a fairly large encore edition, and while that's still plenty, I'm not getting any younger. So I said why not and crossed it off my list. Harryhausen.

The Big Heat & La Bambola for me! Ordering from TT's website is so much easier that going through SAE.

Those are the same four I just ordered. I have the previous edition of The Big Heat, but I wanted this encore edition for the additional extras.

Ordered The Big Heat, La Bambola, and Thunderbirds since it's getting low. Was glad to see the price of La Bambola is $5 cheaper than usual. Plus I had my Harlock discount code to use so that helped as well.

Many (about half) of their foreign releases are $24.95. Presumably, they worked out a slightly better license fee than they do with the US studios.

WTH? Did imgur have a meltdown? I just did a check after seeing rdodolak's posts from yesterday and it appears every pic I have posted using imgur, including in this thread, now has a broken link where the pic used to be. I have used imgur for two years with no issues until now.

Imgur went on a web site blocking rage. Hopefully, this site will be unblocked by tomorrow.

If you mean, is the new edition mastered from a new 4K scan, then "no".

It's from the same master as the original edition. Whether it's been re-encoded, I don't know, but I doubt it, as there was nothing to complain about the original release.

Please, no offense but we have many labels specifically for that.
We don't need Twilight to be tinted with horror films too.
There are so many classic films that aren't released and every little B and C and D horror movie is released on Bluray these days.
Really disappointing.
I guess it's not a good time to not be a horror fan.

Been a huge fan of Twilight Time since its inception, but after a bit of a disappointment over picture quality and extras with "Hawaii" I'm going to have to wait for reviews before ordering "The Hawaiians" and "Support Your.." titles. Now I fully understand TT has to work with what the studios give them, but would be nice if they let loyal customers know up front they are working with less than optimum source material. Also understand that some of these less than optimal transfers may be the only option for ever obtaining some titles in HD, but again, if that is the case, say so.

PS - Awaiting more HARRYHAUSEN, and "Trouble With Angels" and "The Long Ships" would be great additions to the TT catalog. At least with Sony/Columbia you know you are getting a great transfer.
