oildude have you considered using BD tags for the main posts? It's a lot easier to manage, and it will reduce the risk of exceeding the text limit for the posts. If you want, I can help convert it for you

Only Zelig of the new announcements for me. MOC already has an awesome release of The Gang's All Here if you're region free (and can be had for 1/3 of what you'd pay for the TT).
Also just ordered Shadows and Fog from the TT sale. Gotta keep up with the Woody Allen release. |

Has there been any word of TT releasing Hannah and Her Sisters? |

Twilight Time hasn't said anything about having the rights to the four Woody Allen films that MGM had released on Blu-ray themselves: Annie Hall, Manhattan, Hannah and Her Sisters, and Manhattan. You should be able to get any of these fairly cheaply.

Thank you. I didn't realize that MGM still held the rights to those.

If you're an Allen fan, I personally think it's worth a blind buy. It's not terribly well-regarded, but I think it's one of his most underrated!

Just placed an order for Devil in a Blue Dress, Sense and Sensibility, and The Remains of the Day. There were a few others I was looking for, including Hawaii, which is a newer title, that weren't listed. Anybody know why?
Nice new slate of announcements too. More vintage Woody Allen is always good, Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia, and possibly a few others. |

I hoped to get Hawaii as well since it would be a blind buy so the cheaper the better. Still, I managed to order 8, so I'm really happy with this sale. |

That had to be the longest any free signed edition title lasted. Four days. I wonder if TT will take the hint that signatures from unknown producers and screenwriters are not going to get a lot of people to spend $120 to get a copy. 10 to Midnight is a pretty popular movie and I consider myself a movie buff, but I don't know of those two gentleman who signed that BD. But the sale over on TT could have hurt SAE's sale as well.

In others words, keep the promos coming, SAE. I don't really care if it's signed by the key grip, best boy, or the guy who did the catering. Last edited by belcherman; 04-11-2016 at 12:49 AM. |

It doesn't surprise me that the signed editions are moving slower as time passes. They've released around 35 signed editions so far with each requiring a purchase of 4-5 other titles. At some point you end up with less customers that are willing to make that purchase since they already end up owning a lot of the titles they're interested in.

I've not seen every Allen film but I'm a huge fan of most of his 70's and 80's work. I watched it recently on Amazon, and sorry to say it is awful. I mean, I was genuinely shocked at how unfunny it is. In my opinion, definitely try before you buy.

I say yes. If you're a fan of German expressionism - "M", "Calgary", etc - you will find a lot to love in it. It's not terribly funny, and the ending kind of sucks, but it has great atmosphere and is superbly shot.
