Thanks for the replies

Glad to know that it's "normal" -- I just never had it with any other company, and I had always assumed that all factory sealed movies were finished and sealed at the factory before even reaching the distributor.

This is why I always wipe down my discs with a lens cloth before playing! Nothing more annoying than a movie trying to skip through a fingerprint.

Thanks, I was able to pick up a copy from Amazon for $24. Seems to me that SAE should have better control of keeping accurate counts on available stock. Other companies manage to do it.

I ordered Scorpio a few months back, brand new and it has a scratch on it. Would start skipping about an hour in. I'm always surprised when something that is brand new can still have scratches on it.

Just got an email from Twilight Time saying I'm getting a $14.07 refund for Snake in the Eagle's Shadow / Drunken Master from my May 10th order. The other 5 items in the order seem safe for now (The Bullet Train, Talk Radio, Lawman, Baby Boom, 10 Rillington Place) but is still "awaiting shipment."

Dang. Hope my copy doesn’t get canceled. I ordered that and some others on the 10th as well.

I got an email from Twilight Time saying that The Fortune Cookie was OOS on my order from the 10th but the remaining items would be shipped. That title is still available at SAE so I’ll still be able to get it (I hope! )

Hmm...Activity is clearly happening on many orders made on Sunday, the 10th, as evidenced by your few updates above...

I just got a mail that my small order of only two titles (made late on the 10th) just shipped. But my large order from a couple hours earlier in the evening is still "Awaiting." (One title was already excised from this order last week.)

Pins and needles, pins and needles... crossing fingers!

Sorry if this embarrasses you further, but I deliberately referred to it as the "ongoing 'While Supplies Last' sale" so that no one would have to ask how long it would go for.

Heads up, the Eureka version of Drunken Master is region free:

I don't think I ever saw a scratched bluray disc ever. I have (had) started to think they were pretty much immune to that. They also seem to be less prone to fingerprints even when I accidentally do it, so makes me wonder how careless those workers are.

While I think that some companies have these being assembled by machines, it is clear some are done by hand but I can't understand how someone would touch the discs with fingers as opposed to how they should be handled. I people in the industry don't treat they the way they should then who?

It happens once in a blue moon. When I ordered this from Amazon it was scratched to heck which prevented my PS3 from playing it and I had to request a second copy which luckily wasn't scratched to death:

Finally did it
Anne of the Thousand days and
My cousin Rachel
Funny, I'm not even a huge fan of Richard Burton.
My only Twilight Time Haul, and may I say I genuinely want these titles. As a one time customer I'm glad to say I have a piece of their history, even if it's on their last hurrah!

My SAE order for Stranger Invaders was cancelled. I didn't even get an email just a note lol.

What they should do to any order that has more then 2 copies of the same title is just cancel the extra titles but not the full order. Say if someone ordered 15 copies of Snake in the Eagle's Shadow / Drunken Master they should only send 2 that way everyone else has a chance to get a copy. But that won't happen seeing as they aren't even shipping out those that ordered first.
