I got my last order from TTM, with Hussy and the-technically-not-a-TT-release Sunshine.

So, unless:

(a) I decide on a whim to pick up the Encore Edition of Rollerball, the DVD of Violent Saturday, and the DVD of To Whom It May Concern: Ka Shen's Journey from SAE, and

(b) I pick up any of the OOP titles I missed out on from eBay or wherever

my time in the twilight is done, and night has fallen.

My order shipping out today. Barring something unexpected this will probably be it for me for TT titles since I'm prioritizing for the huge Kino sale which I plan on placing a large order.

I went for the DVDs of Violent Saturday and Woman Obsessed in my final SAE order of TT titles last week, plus a few soundtracks I wanted to pick up.

At $2.50 each, how could I say no?

Wise idea as the overseas BluRays are OOP for Violent Saturday and being a Fox title it probably won't see another home video release.

Yesterday I received my last order from the Twilight Time website. I still have a couple of stragglers in my cart on the SAE website, but nothing I feel a real need for. Kind of sad. My Twilight Time collection is displayed in a case of it's own at my place. I look at it and smile that I've been able to accumulate so many great movies ... many lesser known. (The real kicker is that I hope I can get around to watching even half of them before it's my turn to say goodbye).

EDIT: Too often, I don't think out what I'm going to type before I type it. Instead of saying "lesser known" above, maybe I should have said "forgotten".

I treasure my Twilight Time collection.

I have the DVDs of Woman Obsessed and The Kremlin Letter, since neither one was upgraded to BD. Getting the Violent Saturday DVD would be frivolous, since I have the TT blu, as well as the Eureka Classics blu. The only other TT DVDs that never got upgraded -- The Flim-Flam Man and The Left Hand of God -- were already sold out before I got into the TT game. There's a German blu of the latter, but for the nonce, Amazon DE isn't shipping to the US.

Yup, I'll use the DVD to determine if I want to try to get the Blu-rays on eBay.

TT's shipping page was updated today:

Wasn't that a titles that the studio had a poll for who wanted a 4K release of it?

That is one of those films that seems inevitable that it will get a non-limited edition release.

Sony have already released it themselves in several international markets.

My last Twilight Time order showed up today (Africa Screams). It definitely is a bittersweet day.

My order from July 6th arrived today in a rather large box. I had around 20 titles and 30 clear blu-ray cases.

As you may recall from a previous update, today may be the last day before the TT website is reduced to a minimum:

Quote:
The existing store will be visible online through July 20th. After that, it will be replaced with a link to contact our support team.

Does anyone recommend this release? Do I need a copy?

They haven't updated that information for a while, so given that other things have been delayed, they may delay it as well, at least until all orders are shipped. Or they may turn off all the "content" (product pages, news pages, etc), but still allow you to login and look at your orders. I notice they've also been sending out shipment confirmation emails that point to a tracking site, AfterShip, which I don't recall on my earlier orders. Anyway, I thought I'd mention it, just in case.

Question for UK TT collectors. Now that SAE no longer ship 3 discs for $15, has anyone ordered 2 or even 3 films ($16 and $19 dollars shipping respectively) and gotten away without any extra charge from Royal Mail?

And if any kind soul from either UK or US has an extra copy of Gloria, please do get in touch.

Final TT shipment arrived, from the July 1, 1:00-1:02pm sale.

Being prepared / fast fingers paid off.
