Has anyone voiced their deleterious complaints on TTs Facebook page? I was just wondering what they have to say about it....

I'd do it myself but I think I'm one of the few 23yo without a facebook page.

I'm actually hoping to be the last person on the planet that joins Facebook so I won't be making any comments.

It's like you not only have to buy the title, you have to be one of the first 500 or so buyers maybe. not sure how many are made.
it's a bummer for sure.
(you could give it shot though; I guess just email SAE, not sure what the TT address is)
I just sent them an email. We'll see what happens.

Not if I have anything to say about it . Its funny because I'm really into tech stuff, build my own computers, have written some code, etc. but when it comes to social media I steer clear - my wife just laughs at me.

It's really not that funny, everyone I work with except the women stay clear, and I have worked with computers since the 70's (system 370 main frames) and have written thousands of lines of code. Back to the topic I only have 1 magnet Pal Joey, I hope Bell Book and Candle comes with one.

Great news on this release as it looks great . 4.5/5 on the pq side with 5 = the best it could look...obviously my opinion only, but you cannot go wrong buying this one.

I got a reply from SAE about the Mysterious Island magnet:

"We are out of that magnet now – the magnets are random from order to order and when available."

It's interesting they say they are inserted randomly from order to order, that they even if in stock when you order you may not get one. At least that's the way I read that.

p.s. -- I haven't got Facebook, either. I heard too much about lack of privacy and ID theft...and now some employers want to look at your Facebook page before they will consider hiring you, with them wanting you to give them your screenname and password.

hmmm......that does sound kind of strange.
I still think the early pre-orders are a lot more likely to get one.
btw: I pmed someone on ebay selling MI to see if they had the magnet.
waiting for a response.

Hello,

The "AMAZON" code for $10 off of $50 seems to have expired. Is anyone aware of any other codes?

Thanks.

CRAP!!! I was waiting for May's pre-orders to use that code. Guess I shouldn't have waited.

That is one of the reasons I ordered immediately. For some reason I had a feeling that it might not last long. Thankfully I ordered four movies and was able to cut down on shipping costs too...

Yeah. That's what I did when they had the Fright Night deal. Basically ordered 3 and got Fright Night free (plus combined shipping).

I was hoping to order 3 or 4 titles again, but 2 of them were definitely coming out of the May pre-orders so that's why I was waiting.

(btw:still waiting 6 years later for the Criterion blu-ray release)
doesn't look too promising at this point, especially considering the dvd release is a box set with 3 cuts of the film.
total older Criterion box set dvd releases that have been issued in their entirety on blu-ray=only 2 so far.
(Monterey and Yojimbo/Sanjuro)--which is not really a box set imo, as it is just the two individual releases sold together.

.
I should have figured that out.. .. I had just watched Moby Dick on tv a few nights ago... I have never seen "Mr Arkadin".. I will now make a point to check it out !!! Thanks!

Allright guys, took a little break to get a cold Heineken and wanted to share my excitment. Roots of Heaven looks great. Very pleased with the PQ on this release . Looking foward to ordering DESIREE (1954) and BELL, BOOK & CANDLE (1958), but will wait a few days...these things are costly . The $10 off $50 code is no longer working?

Somebody talked me into joining LinkedIn a couple years ago. Still don't know what the big deal about it is/was, but I deleted my account a week or so ago. So I guess I'm now free and clear as well of all such things, and plan to keep it that way.

fwiw, I did get a Fright Night magnet, but I didn't buy the blu-ray.

(Next thing you know they'll want all your logins, like blu-ray.com etc. )

Think that code's been active for quite some time. I ordered The Kremlin Letter dvd via their amazon store last May and I'm pretty sure that's when I got it. I didn't use the code until the end of last month, as I just happened to run across it in with some other old papers and that's what probably inspired me to just go ahead and place that order I'd been thinking about for a while and see if it still worked.
