Looks to me like the "older stuff" is on the back burner at TT for a while. Of the new releases announced, only ENEMY MINE interests me, because I saw it in original release, I like it, and I think it's an unofficial remake of one of my childhood favorite films, ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS, which is also a great Criterion Blu-ray.

But I can't say I'm as excited about ENEMY MINE as I would have been for THE FLY or FANTASTIC VOYAGE or VOYAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEA, but hopefully they'll come along.

Someone mentioned VON RYAN'S EXPRESS. It's just been released as an all-region Blu-ray in France. I just received the French Blu-ray (all-region) of BANDOLERO! With the price conversion and postage, it's total cost came to $36, which is about on a par with TT, but no isolated score.

And hey, what the hell happened with this site a few days ago? Posts have been purged, and current reviews have all disappeared including the largely negative one for PROMETHEUS, which I saw on Saturday and thought was absolute rubbish!

What is there about this movie that could possibly warrant a premium, limited edition Blu-ray release? The opportunity to listen to the isolated score by vet composer Paul McCullough? Yeeeeesh, what a waste of a TT release slot. Hope they at least get a quick sell through out of this one.
While it doesn't have the impact of the original, it's considered a classic by zombie fans and most in the horror genre. The remake has great special effects and a polished script. If it is a B movie, it's one of the best ever made.

There is a cable network remake for Steel Magnolia's airing on Lifetime with an all African American cast soon. Maybe be one reason besides the currently OOP Score that will be featured on the disc.

Having purchased every title since launch I'm afraid I draw the line at paying a premium for Steel Magnolias.

When I first saw Night of the Living Dead listed I assumed it was the original! Oh well.

If TT uses the simple original Poster Artwork for Steel Magnolia's then I am ALL FOR the release!

I wish they would get Little Women from SONY also!

This is actually the one that makes the most sense to me. Look at how much horror is available on BD. The obvious conclusion to me is that horror titles are selling well, and I'm not surprised since horror sold so well on both VHS and DVD. I'm guessing that Night of the Living Dead will probably sell just as well as Fright Night, and we'll probably start seeing more horror from TT.

I hope so. There's some other horror titles from Sony that TT could release, like Christine, The Blob (1988), John Carpenter's Vampires, and more.

Von Ryan's Express tends to be an evergreen war film for Fox with multiple DVD editions. I suspect it will be released by them in the future, possibly as a Wal-Mart exclusive for the Memorial Day 2013.

Just curious if everyone is getting their TT blu-rays without the extra layer of bubble wrap that SAE used to place around them? Intitally, SAE's packaging was pretty stellar. Extra bubble wrap and strong tape on the envelope. Then beginning in April and each month since, my monthly order arrives with the two BDs in a thin bubble envelope, no extra padding, with the magnet dropped in. Kind of irritating considering how carefully they used to be packaged, yet the cost is the same.
