next pre-orders should be going up tomorrow--FRIDAY at 4pm est.
also: they should be announcing Nov. titles any day now.

I sent an email to them regarding my sending back Cover Girl based upon the bad reviews.

This is the response I received:
Send it back then - Ed

That is seriously the most unprofessional response I have ever received. The generic response from amazon reps sounds more sincere than this.

Let me get this straight - yes, let me get this straight: You are sending it back because you've read some bad reviews on the Internet? Have I got that right? Without even watching it? Because you've never disagreed with ONE Internet review? It's gotten just as many good reviews. I'm surprised Ed allowed you to do it, frankly and I would have been a lot less civil than he. This is just about the nadir of anything I've read on these boards.

I am not going to pay $30 for something that has not received good reviews. It's not just one review it's everything I've read. I am much more picky with these releases based upon the higher prices.

Could he have returned it after watching it?

Aren't his choices roll the dice and hope it's worth what he already paid or send it back unopened?

Obviously, everyone can do as they wish. If I order something is because I really want to see it. If the PQ turns out to be so terrible that it is unwatchable then sale it or trade it for something else.

I have seen as many Blu-ray movies as the next guy and I never had regrets due to bad PQ. Yeah, it is pricy but back in mid 2007 I paid $27.99 for Fox catalog titles from Amazon...things like The Fly, Leage of Extraordinary Gentlemen, ect.

I think in the future you may want to wait for the review before you hit that buy button.

You know looking at the reviews and various screenshots, even the negative reviews, it doesn't look to bad. Nothing worth the headache of mailing it back and paying for postage.

Their handling of the Journey to the Center of the Earth (100 signed copies) is something that really soured me. If it goes up and I miss out, fine. But to wait for 45 minutes have the movie twice on the cart and have the site crash twice...just too silly for words. Blaming Amazon for their screw up, too silly for words.

One thing. I'll guarantee is that I will make it a point to never pre-order anything from them again. I'll buy it, when I am good and ready ...there's nothing that TT will ever offer for pre-order (outside of a few signed copies) that will sell out before it is released...anyone that claims something different is blowing hot air .

Who's cares about fake sincerity -- he didn't badger you, make fun of you, give you the 8th degree, gouge your eyes out, or even give you as hard a time as you're getting here.
I have communicated with Ed, twice and he has been helpful..straight to the point, no b.s. and he responds to emails/calls right away. I can appreciate that.

I am also soured by TT from Journey to the Center of the Earth stemming from the 100 signed copies. And the Blu Ray PQ wasn't all that spectacular, yes it was good, but nothing that really made me go *wow*. Mysterious Island was way better. I will say that returning a movie without watching it is pretty odd. I would suggest renting it from ClassicFlix even if its not the Blu ray. Renting is the safest way to watching a movie youve never seen.
Call it a DVD condom, practice safe viewing

I hope they cancel the overly-entitled little pip's account...it will just mean more product available to the fans and collectors who truly appreciate these movies in the best form the studios have available.

Ed is cool. I wish more people in this world were like Ed. Cut to the chase, no BS. Saves time for everyone and time is something that none of us ever has enough of.

No, he made his choice. He bought it. Then he read some "reviews" (and excuse me for living, they're INTERNET reviews, and there have been just as many good as not good) - and he, rather than judging for himself, thinks he's entitled to send it back? I'm sorry, I don't know what world you live in, but I don't live in that world of entitlement. I've bought plenty of stuff that I've been disappointed with - too bad. I get rid of it, trade it or whatever. But the one things I've NEVER done is send back something sealed because I read someone else's thoughts on something. Please. I now return you to whatever world you live in.

Well, something that irks me is when I read of someone making a purchase decision based on screen caps (whether from here or somewhere else). Film is made to be seen in motion and that is the only way that PQ can be evaluated. Sure, I look at caps once in a while just out of curiosity, but I have yet to see screen captures that match what I see in my tv .
