The only Game in Town has no subtitles, so it's a no purchase for me.
Since the price is what it is, i at least expect some subtitles!

Does anyone know if this is the same for "Love is a Many-Splendored thing"?
I would love to buy that film!
edit: Oh, just saw in their facebook page that it does have subtitles!

An uncut ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. from Fox would be awesome, as well!!
You would think that 3 Worlds of Gulliver would be the ideal candidate considering that horrible Jack Black version is out, but I'm in for any of those.

Well, they aren't dummies. So the only reasonable conclusion I've been able to come to is that TT is simply waiting for fresh remasters from Sony...likely 4k.

TT's 2-disc Major Dundee edition established a nice precedent. So yes, I would also like to see both of the remaining Harryhausen/Sinbad films in the same set, for $49.95 or less. I mean, same target market - those who want one would no doubt want the other.

On the other hand, the Flint films were individual releases, so who knows? Nothing even hinted at so far.

Not necessarily. That title is an exception because of Hammer's stake in the property: The uncut Euro version was theirs; the cut version belongs to Fox (via Seven Arts). So presumably this rights issue would limit what TT could run with...in which case, I think I'd rather see some label in the U.K. release it uncut and all-region instead. I can certainly live without its Nascimbene score as an IST; he's done better*.

Big fan of LAST AMERICAN HERO, directed by the undeservedly under-the-radar, but quite reliable Lamont Johnson. As for the fine cast, don't forget Ed Lauter, William Smith, Valerie Perrine, Geraldine Fitzgerald, Lane Smith, Art Lund, and Gregory Walcott.

This weekend I watched Laura and Leave Her to Heaven, both excellent films that I enjoyed very much. Gene Tierney really was something. Afterwards, I was interested in reading more about her and went online to discover that she married an oilman, moved to Texas with her two daughters from her previous marriage to designer Oleg Cassini, and is buried in a cemetery two miles from where I live. Also discovered that buried in the same cemetery is Howard Hughes.

The Laura blu-ray contains a supplement on Tierney that I did not view because it was late, but will make sure I go back and watch. Her life was defined by a series of successes and immense personal tragedies, among them her oldest daugher Daria, who was born with severe disabilities due to her mother contracting rubella while pregnant. She learned later in life that the rubella she caught was from a fan who broke out of quarantine to meet Tierney at a public appearance. Howard Hughes was a friend, and he paid for all of Daria's medical bills and ensured she got the best care available. Daria died a couple of years ago and is buried next to her mother.

I have driven past that cemetery many times without having a clue who all is buried there. I think I will stop next time and pay my respects.

Always glad to see talk of "More Harryhausen" show up on the boards. TT tends to be a bit snippy when you broach the subject on their facebook page (that is if they even bother to respond). I agree they are a pretty savvy outfit, so the popularity of Mr. Harryhausen's films is not lost on them. If the delay is over new masters and/or commentary tracks by the master himself (completed for all his films I understand before his passing), then I am OK with it. I guess just anxious since it has been so long....

The uncut version of ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. was released by Fox, on the laserdisc format. Supposedly, the release of the cut version on DVD was "an accident", but I don't know if that's true or not. But since they had released it uncut previously, you know they have a print, and you would think that they do indeed have the rights to it.

If anyone here has info on this, please feel free to share!

I hope so, but based on Night Of The Living Dead, they're probably not familiar with the film and wouldn't know the difference.

Ok, the NOTLD transfer was a bust, but that is an unreasonable assumption.

I still can't wrap my mind around TT's decision to release Mindwarp. If ever there was a title more appropriate to bargain bins it's this one. Even people who don't question prices will have a challenging time justifying spending $30+ on this.

I agree, once I looked up MINDWARP, I'm sure it has a CULT, Bruce Campbell following but this is probably the strangest TT entry. I'd never even heard of the film until it was noted as a future TT release. I wouldn't expect a fast sell out, but I swear stranger things have happended it could shock us all lol.

As someone else mentioned, Enemy Mine I would've thought a SELL OUT already. I just ordered my copy of it this morning actually. Along with a bunch of other titles I'd been putting off, but I think Leave Her to Heaven has probably been selling rather well so I needed to grab that title also.

Terrible or not, I think people who want it will be snatching it up before the scalpers can get hold of it. On the other hand, I guess it could take the path of Enemy Mine and be available for a little longer.
Yeah I think the main reason is because it never even hit dvd...plus the obvious cult appeal. But horror fans know their shit, and we're not gonna stand for the cut version, so I really hope TT pulls through on this one.

I don't think we have to worry about Mindwarp selling out.

I wonder if Severed Ties and Children Of The Night might be in the pipeline? Along with Mindwarp, these three were all produced by Fangoria and released by Columbia Tri-Star in the early '90s.

If they release Children Of The Night, that's one I'd definitely be spending the $35 on! I love that movie! So underrated. Plus, the DVD is fullscreen.

Though admittedly, I'd probably prefer a Mill Creek double feature, as $35 is still a ridiculous price.

Oh man Children of the Night! I use to rent that one a lot as a kid. Pretty terrible film, but entertaining none the less...I would be VERY surprised if that film hit blu ray. Also it was definitely made for the DTV market, so it may have been shot fullscreen, but I'm not sure

Really not sure what to do about Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing, Rapture, The Song Of Bernadette, or The Wayward Bus.
