It's been a few years since I saw The Disappearance, but I remember thinking it was quite good. Donald Sutherland can do no wrong in my book though. The director also made Overlord, a very different film. The only DVD release was a horrible-looking full-screen UK one, so it'll be nice to see it finally and deservedly reach a wider audience.

I did what you suggested - they said they don't deal with Universal. Damn. But they did seem to like the suggestion and also said it would be a consideration if things did happen to change.

At least they now know. TT is apparently working on a deal with MGM so maybe Universal will be the next studio they tackle.

Id like to get the Disappearance - this would be a blind buy - it sounds good -if its anything like Day of the Jackal or Eye of the Needle I might enjoy it, but I know nothing about it but I have read some good reviews...

I think both of the "Flint" films are running low to almost sell out.

Don't they usually send out emails or post on Facebook when stock is getting low of a title?

Yes, sometimes. I'm going by what I think I read on this website that both titles are expected to sell out very soon.

I'd be nice if they did announce it if they are, because that would hinder my wallet from July's Criterion sale going on at the moment.

I asked TT and they indicated when a title hits 500 left is when they announce quantities getting low. They also said that Hard Times, The Driver, Major Dundee, Leave Her to Heaven sales have been very good. So I would say they expect all 4 of those to be sell outs before the end of the year,

They also indicated that starting in 2014 they will be increasing production and each month could be a Criterion type of slate.

Wish increasing production with them meant more than 3000 units per title...but probably not...one can dream...thanks for the update!

Bye Bye Birdie is by far the closest to a sellout out of any of the titles on blu-ray. It should be hitting 500 pretty soon. Flint 1, Leave Her to Heaven, and Major Dundee would be next. Hard Times still has a decent number of copies to move, but at the rate it's been selling, it may not take more than a couple months to run out.

Has this been verified for Body Double? (Four featurettes: The Seduction, The Mystery, The Setup, The Controversy)

Twilight Time DVD Label Pre-order date will likely be Wednesday, July 24th, at 4 pm EST, and yes, the four featurettes will be carried over, along with a new isolated score of course.

I may have to jump on Leave Her to Heaven sooner than I had planned.

I am keeping a close eye on this one too. It looks to have about 960 left between SAE and Amazon, which is great considered how recently it was released. I wonder if they are surprised at how fast it's sold; I certainly am (ditto Hard Times).
