I ordered 19 TT titles and 9 days later the package is still sitting in Iowa now going on 4 days. I'm in Montana by the way. The kicker is that the tracking STILL shows an estimated time of arrival as the 26th. The way this is going, maybe they meant the 26th of December. High prices plus piss poor shipping is not a winning combination.

I usually get my imports from the Amazon UK in 7 days from the date of shipping and 10 to 12 days from Amazon Germany.

SA's shipping is a joke!

How is it the companies fault for the package being stuck in Iowa? Reminds me of why I don't sell things on ebay anymore.

Yeah, I ordered from SA recently and it arrived in Norway, Europe a week later, so it seems like it may just be a case of bad luck. I understand the frustration though. Just directed at the wrong company.
I remember once that some store sent me something from Canada with DHL Express. It took around 24 hours from Canada to Norway, but DHL Norway used a whole week to deliver it to me, and I live just an hour away from the arrival point.

I hate selling stuff on auction sites as well. Funny thing is that it is often the people that wait for weeks before they pay you that starts complaining when their item hasn't arrived within a day or two after they paid.

SAE is responsible for choosing this new shipping method which is far slower than simply going directly w/ the USPS as they had before.

With the old method it usually would take 2 days, 4 days at most, to receive a package. With this lastest method my package was shipped on the 20th and was transferred to what UPS is calling the "local post office" on the 25th which is approx. 400 miles away from me. Not sure what they call local but I wouldn't consider 400 miles away anywhere near local.

I have canceled a pre-order with SAE. You have to send them an email with your order number. I got a response next day. I suppose you could also call them but I've never tried that.

Thanks.

This is why it's SA fault anthonyg. They know how this crappy shipping setup works but their only interested in saving a buck. A $600 order deserves better treatment IMO. It's SA's fault so people need to stop making excuses for them EVERYBODY knows this shipping method is garbage.

I've sold over 400 BD's on Ebay via USPS with ZERO problems. It's SA's new shipping method that is responsible for this delay. Shipped directly using the USPS would avoid this issue an SA knows it.

400 miles is local when your speaking in terms of intergalactic shipping.

In all seriousness now, I just received my first package with the new shipping method. It took a day longer to receive when compared to first class mail and that was from the exchange at nearby postal hub, 40 miles away.

LOL, I guess it truly is a matter of perspective. UPS was estimating a delivery date of the 26th but the USPS is showing a 2 Dec delivery date. Of course UPS MI also claims that they can "transport domestic mail to its point of induction within 24-48 hours of pickup" which they completely failed at doing.

Tom
I can't disagree with you. My order was essentially $100 and I was lucky perhaps that I did not get the Canada Customs rectal scan to go with my delivery.

They earned another order from me but if this UPS silliness nets me issues with Canada Customs then I will not order from them again unless they go back to good old USPS only which has never caused me issues getting stuff to me in Canada.

For an expensive order like you got they could have at least stepped up to the plate and offered upgraded priority shipping in recognition of your support.

I've randomly experienced this disparity with SAE shipments as well. In the past, it's always been the case that USPS delivered parcels the mail day after they were tendered to them by UPS. This is the first time I'm seeing that to not be the case.

wow, more Woody Allen.
wonder if MGM are even going to release any more of his older films.
kinda sad, but definitely a good title.
never even heard of Conrack, but found this interview with John Voight.

Some great titles.

It was common knowledge that Alfredo Garcia was coming from TT, pleased that it's finally been announced. Used Cars is great too. I'm sticking with my Region B import of Wild at Heart though, but Conrack!?!? I don't even think that was ever released on VHS nevermind DVD! I might check out All the King's Men as well, Best Picture winner of 1949.
