My order of seven titles just arrived today (after having shipped eight days ago). I spot-checked DRUMS ALONG THE MOHAWK, which looks much better than I was expecting, and JANE EYRE, which as I expected looked like a really nice 16mm print or a 35mm preservation dupe. Then I watched LOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING, which looks and sounds fantastic. Will hold off for awhile on the two Sinbads, ROYAL FLASH, and OLIVER, though may spot-check them for quality soon. Too many other Blu-rays to catch up on!

I'm so mad I never got The Big Heat while I had the chance...figured $35 was too much at the time...I've learned my lesson. Hence why I will preorder Titus right away and why I'm glad I got Jane Eyre (Joan Fontaine...rest in peace, beautiful)

Sounds like TT's going to have another day of server crashes.

Speaking of Sinbad, are they down to a low-number in stock already? Because both titles have a limit of 1 on them.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but do these new postal delays/issues affect international orders? Thanks.

Thanks. Another minus point for Twilight Time then - hugely expensive and now slow delivery.

Still, I'll probably spring for Crimes & Misdemeanors. The moment they become customs unfriendly then it's 100 per cent game over.

What's the URL for the December 26th pre-orders?

And do you know if the pre-orders will include Crimes and Misdemeanors, Used Cars, and Rollerball?

No URLs for them yet except Screenarchives.com and no the preorders will only be Titus, Man in the Dark, Khartoum and Zulu.

Oh, i totally forgot about them.
I want to pre-order Khartoum, but I will be able to do so after 5-6 of January.
I hope it isn't OOP by then.

Don't worry you have plenty of time with that title.

Yeah, thanks, I just can't predict what title will have huge demand.
i thought the Sinbad films would be OOP in a couple of days, and they are still here..

Well that's disappointing. It would be much easier to drop $100+ next month rather than the day after Xmas.

I think SAE restricting the quantity per order has been the major reason the Sinbads are still available in decent numbers, although they have been selling steadily and will sell out at some point....just not as soon as many thought. SAE restricting the order number improves the chances that anyone who wants one (that is, anyone who knows about this release, SAE, and Twilight Time) can get one, and reduces the scalper hauls. For doing that, I thank them.

Very true, having said that you can expect them to sell a bunch when this autographed copy hits. I mean if you are scalping why not buy 1 copy of each to help get you to that 100 dollars?

My autographed Mindwarp doesn't stay closed on one side because they were a bit rough, I guess, when opening it to sign and they broke the clasp. Luckily they didn't break both clasps, because I would have been very frustrated. This is a gift for a big Bruce Campbell fan and I'm already irked to give them a damaged, but signed, collector's disc.

That being said, since the movie was already unwrapped to be signed, I popped the movie in last night to watch it before giving it to my friend. Yech, that's a bad movie. Not utterly awful, but certainly not one I'd ever want to see again. And the soundtrack's not very impressive either. I'm still confused how this movie fit exactly into TT's brand.

What would fit into the brand would be Candyman and I actually hope TT gets that movie (assuming I could succeed in preordering it before it sells out) because I'd love to have the isolated Philip Glass score to play.

Ya know you could just buy a brand new elite case. The movie is signed on the booklet right? So pop the booklet, artwork and disc out and put it into another case.

An even quicker expedient for Christmas is just swap it into a case for one of his own Blu-rays that doesn't get watched very often.

I've done that on a few occasions where I got a damaged case.

I grab some crappy old BD I bought five years ago (and I rarely, if ever, rewatch) and swap it's good case for the damaged case.
