There's never been a case of people missing out if they are ready to order when the pre-order comes live. Christine has been the fastest sellout and it took a few hours. However, the limits are a good idea, specially for this title.

I'm currently switching back and forth between TCM's current showing of Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twilight Time's bluray. No comparison! TCM's showing looks to me to be softer and over-saturated with color. I wonder what their source is.

Harryhausen wasn't involved with "The Beast of Hollow Mountain" but both movies are based on the same Willis O'Brien script. I figured a movie like "Beast" could never have a chance to make it to blu but "The Valley of Gwangi" movie powered by Harryhausen would be a no-brainer. The wait is still on. I really worry Warner isn't interested in bringing "Gwangi" and "The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms" to Blu-ray.

I had a chance to watch a bit of it as well and totally agree. I wonder if the print they used was even an HD one? I didn't look closely to check.

I personally think the limit should be 1 per household/mailing address but that is just me. Maybe 2 at the most but there would never be a way to enforce something that like.

Well they do that eventually but of course all you need is another account, address and email address.

Forgot to mention, but I asked them a few days ago if they'll continue to sell titles that aren't sold out once the 3-year window is reached, and this was their response:
That will most likely be determined on a case-by-case basis. |

Why wouldn't they sell titles that haven't sold out?

Wow I had no idea. So technically you could own a SUPER limited edition. Like it could actually end up being as 1000 to 2000 actually sold and the rest destroyed. Also after it not selling out no studio is going to release it wide.

Well it might be a good investment to purchase a few copies of those titles a month or two before the three years is up.

More than likly they will just offer a promo, like they did with the unsold DVD's, spend $100 get an expiring title for free.

Seems kind of silly. I mean if Sony decides they want to release the title in question themselves, then fine. But if not, why insist they be destroyed? It's not like Sony are releasing much in the way of catalog titles these days anyway.

Even if they don't want to release it themselves, they can still license the title out to someone else.
