Only January titles have eco cases, hence Khartoum is in a swiss cheese box, but not Blue Max (February title).

You can fill in the special requests box upon check-out, and ask for a box/extra bubble wrap. Screen Archives are cool with that.

You shouldn't have to request proper packaging, again for the price they charge they should not cut any corners. I dread when they announce something I want for reasons like poor shipping practices and non-existent customer service.

This is true, and I fully agree, but there is the crucial point that TT make the discs (and choose the price of the discs), and Screen Archives sell/ship them.

Why am I telling you this?

For this reason: Order placed through an eBay store at 8:05PM followed immediately by confirmation of the order and confirmation of payment by PayPal. At 9:24 PM, 79 minutes after ordering, I received email from the company in Jiangsu, China that my harmonica had shipped.

Twilight Time needs to hire these guys!
I find that most ebay sellers are quick. Criterion just had their flash sale last week, and within 1 week my order was at my door, the only down side is they use UPS for international shipments and that ends up costing you double what USPS would cost.

Yes. March 10 is the big day.

Since their shipping speed has picked up, I'm expecting All the King's Men, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, and Bonjour Tristesse in my mailbox a couple days after that.

Forunately, the Chinese are smart and cheap. I've done business with them before.

$10.00 "Economy International Shipping" through the post office.

It's ironic for us Canadians but shipping from the United States is, by far, the most problematic shipping. I have no problem with fast, cheap shipping from China, Japan or the UK. Shipping from the United States just gets more difficult and expensive all the time.

I was just about to post something regarding pre-orders and when to expect these new releases. From my experience and from reading this thread I figured I'd be waiting at least a month after the 11th..

You guys think they'll have the March 11th titles to us during release week or are they going to live up to their rep?

I have to agree. I don't buy much in the way of movies from outside of North America, but I buy a fair bit of music from the UK. I've had things show up as quickly as 5 business days from the UK, whereas with the States I pretty much have to forget about whatever it is I ordered and just let it show up when it shows up. Amazon.com are marginally better since I think they use DHL Global Mail for the US leg of the journey and it gets handed off to Canada Post when it crosses the border. Barnes & Noble seems to use a company called Brokers Worldwide and it takes weeks, sometimes over a month. Other places tend to use standard USPS surface mail which usually isn't much better.

But... I'll take that over paying brokerage fees for it to be delivered by a courier the whole way through.

Maybe if we think really hard we can find a way to blame TT for listening to the complaints from customers and causing this delay.

That would only be par for the course. I'm expecting more of them soon.

I understand why Fox didn't want to give it up, but I have to imagine that Twilight Time would have included Alex North's isolated score if they had gotten a chance to release The Agony & The Ecstasy.

I am.

To TT's credit they heard their customer's concerns and addressed them.

Yeah, but is that isolated score worth the $15 more that TT would charge you?

Very happy to hear that TT is dropping the eco cases! Have purchased two titles from them so-far and no complaints. I will be pre-ordering The train and Rollerball when available.

It's surprising since Fox would release isolated scores on some of their DVDs.
