I don't think so. That would cause them to exceed the licensed number of copies.

Perhaps, but since they're giving them away rather than selling them...

Of course I haven't seen any of their licenses either.

Those in the UK don't bother purchasing Twilight Time's The Driver as we're getting a version in a few months curtesy or the great British distributor, Studio Canal.

Bit premature. Might not have any extras. And I think people can decide for themselves which discs they want to buy.

Studio Canal often have extras, but I imagine most people's concerns are PQ and SQ. Just putting it out there.

Never heard of it, but it sounds good -- Preminger and musicals. I'm always up for movies being released that never had a proper previous home video release.

Not to be a downer at all, but Studio Canal has had plenty of spotty transfers before. There's a reason why, in the US, the Criterion Blu-Ray of The Third Man still sells for high prices, even though the Studio Canal Blu-Ray can be had for MUCH cheaper...

With that said, it could end up being like Arrow's release of The Fury, which was a huge improvement on TT's release. As stephenwilson04 said, it's very much a "wait and see" scenario.

They are unfortunately fond of boosting the brightness on some titles, not to mention having microscopic English subtitles on their foreign language films.
