The problem is that this news is being posted on Facebook. I go and look at TT's Facebook page and I can't make heads or tails of it. It's just too busy and I can't figure out what to click on and that which I do click on leads to nothing. Basically, I just hate Facebook.

I wish someone at TT would just simply announce the damn thing and MAKE IT PLAIN!

Also, I doubt that we'll see a new release before a year from now, so if a restored JOURNEY is really coming as a new BD from TT, I don't expect it until next Fall or maybe the end of 2015 -- but I could be wrong.

TT said their tentative release dates are January, March, August, and October 2015. Since the horror titles Fright Night or Christine are likely to be in October, I think we can safely assume Journey will be in Jan, March, or Aug.

I was under the impression that the first re-release would be coming in January of 2015.

Yes, that's what TT said, and what I just posted above.

Agree with this. TT should have its own official website for listing release information. A Facebook page is not the proper venue for releasing information, especially when many of these "announcements" come in the comments to random posts and never get an actual main post from TT. And then TT gets all annoyed that people keep asking questions that have been answered before...

It would be nice if they had their own site not to mention they've had a domain name registered since 2010. However, they seem to prefer using facebook.

TT said that they were releasing Journey next year with a 4K scan. End of story there.
TT has deals with SAE to sell their releases and therefore no need for a website(at least that's my impression) , and Facebook is their place to announce. You could ask them on Facebook about having their own website though, Im sure theyd answer

They comment a lot on the Posts to Page on the left side of the screen

A quote from them :
Twilight Time DVD Label The other two haven't been mentioned but one will be the brand new 4 k restoration of journey to the center of the Earth.

That is odd. It's definitely registered to them. They could even financially benefit from the site by having some Google adsense ads set up too. It wouldn't be too hard to set something up, or pay someone to do it. I

So they're going to reissue Christine before the 3 years are up?

Yep. There's been some speculation that the 3 years may have started before the release date. Someone will have to ask TT about that one.

I wonder if they’ve considered their legal liability. They marketed and sold these blu-rays as limited editions of 3,000 units. Collectors made purchases, in part, on that basis. At the time it looked like somebody spent tens of thousands to scoop up Christine, and while I doubt any tears will be shed here for that party, it doesn’t mean there’s no case to be made.

Hmm, it's only a few more months until February 2016. Don't think it's really worth opening up a can of worms just for a few months. I think it's possible they will actually reissue 4 other titles in 2015, and then Christine in early 2016.

Yeah, until release dates are announced there's lot of conjecture that's trying to sound definitive when it's not.

It's also possible they could rerelease the same Christine disk only do it for 2000 units and call it an add on to the initial print run, and hit "Blob" pressing numbers. There's no way of knowing until it's formally announced.

They said they only have 4 reissues planned right now, and in a separate post they confirmed Christine is one of their reissues. Sounds pretty clear-cut to me.

There is no legal liability here. The new editions will be different from the previous ones (new extras, new transfers, etc..). It is not an identical product, so there is zero legal grounds here. Hell, it could be identical aside from a different SKU and there'd still be no legal grounds

A questionable statement, if new editions are substantially the same. To the extent the statement is true, it means that Twilight Time’s limited release model was never any such thing. All those wasted complaints…

legality wise it's fine. they can sell as many as they want. it's just the CREDIBILITY that's at risk more than anything

They aren't the same, that's the point..Feel free to test that though, it wouldn't be the first frivolous claim, and it won't be the last in this sue happy country. My guess is, you'd be laughed right out of court though.
