That's a good list of special features, and I like the artwork, too.

I skimmed the last few pages, so forgive me if this was already answered, but any word yet if and what title Twilight Time will be doing the autograph promotion for on the October pre-orders?

I've liked the commentaries I've listened to so far (Khartoum, The Blue Max, Violent Saturday, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot) and am glad that TT started doing them.

If you had to choose 1 to buy, would you rather get Jane Eyre or Cover Girl?

While neither is my taste, I'd say Jane Eyre, based on the reviews posted here. It is highly recommended, while the other is mediocre, at best, with no supplemental material whatsoever.

You could have gotten it cheaper and maybe with a better transfer/w extras by waiting until next year when TT re-releases it.

But I don't want a re-release, that's the point, I'm super happy I got it so cheap.

Default Out of print titles

Does any know how the rights to these movies work? I am asking because I am wondering if sold out titles will get released by another studio in the future.

Thanks

Thanks
My understanding of these deals is that Twilight Time gets the right to print and sell 3000 copies of a title, with exclusive rights for three years and that, even if the title sells out, TT still holds exclusive rights until the three years are up. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Twilight Time licenses a movie from a studio; let's use Sony as an example. The license deal gives TT exclusive North American rights for a third-year period (it's unknown when the three-year period begins; in the absence of info, people tend to assume it begins on the official street date). During this three-year period, no one else can release the movie on Blu-ray, even Sony themselves, and even if it sells out from TT.

Once that three-year period is up, anything goes. Sony can release their own edition, license it again to TT (if TT wants to) or license it to someone else, like Criterion, Shout Factory, or whomever.

Does Twilight Time charge you the full amount when you pre-order, wait for shipping, or do a balance check? I couldn't find this info in the OP.

Twilight Time does nothing. It's Screen Archives Entertainment that you order from.

Anyway, to answer the question, if you pay by credit card, they do a pre-authorization when you place your order. This will show up as a pending charge on your account, and last one or more days, depending on your bank or credit union. The actual charge does not hit your account until your order ships.

If you pay by PayPal, your account is debited when you place the order.
